What I needed

I don't know why I didn't replace my glass press a long time ago. This one works great, does NOT cool off faster than my single wall glass press, and doesn't seem to cool off faster than the double wall one I sometimes use.
Good quality . . . it works . . . not sure what else to add.

I get some black residue

I get some black residue from the metal on my fingers when I'm cleaning the piece. I have to wash it off my hands with soap. I think it's coming from inside the lid. I definitely don't want to be drinking that.

Im very happy with my mueller French press. Its the first that Ive owned. I was using an electric percolator. The press makes a bold, full of flavor cup of coffee.
