Dear sir;
Otterbox is always been my choice and only choice for mobile phone cases, and immediately I usually make my orders before even the phone comes out. and when iPhone 12 pro max came out I had already ordered my Otterbox case. But unfortunately when I opened the box and inserted my iPhone blindly trusting Otterbox to be Otter-Box as usual, but I noticed it's not a Box anymore, instead it is a boat / canoe/ Viking ship ? like with those raised top and bottom ends? and God knows I tried to make it work and get that Otterbox feeling like I usually do, but to no avail. So I thought maybe I ordered the wrong style, and so returned the case and went on Otterbox purchase spree, and purchased almost 4 different kinds of Otterbox iPhone 12 pro max cases, and all have that canoe like new design and of course I returned them all. I know this is not only my opinion but several people I know have the same opinion too.

It's is a shame after that hard work building the Otterbox name, an armature designer brush stroke destroy all that hard work? I mean I understand trying to come up with something new, but a canoe? and you guys didn't even leave the original design as an option for those who prefer it?
anyway it was pleasure and honor having the true Otterbox for years and for as long as it lasted.

Could be better

I purchased this in December from a retailer at the same time I purchased my 12 Pro Max. I love Defender cases for their added protection and being able to easily clip onto a holster. Well it is now March and the rubber cover near the rear camera is not fitting snuggly. I consistently have to push it back in to fit tightly around the lens area. This is so upsetting. I am a regular user and handle my phone and cases with extreme care. I can see this happening after maybe 2 years or even a year and 1/2. But not after 3 1/2 months.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought an iPhone 12 Pro Max and of course bought an Otterbox Defender. The clip on the plastic holster doesn't clip firmly enough and the slightest bump knocks the phone loose. Thank goodness the case is up to OtterBox standards as it is getting a workout!

I have always purchased the defender pro series for every phone that I have every owned. I was disappointed that I was unable to find the same case for my new iPhone 12 Pro Max. I had to get the defender pro with the extra glass shield. Unsure of how this will hold up. I prefer the case that comes with the plastic shield , for complete coverage and protection.

Doesn’t work with wireless charger

Came from iPhone 11 Pro Max with Otterbox Defender on it. That worked with all my wireless chargers. This case on the iPhone 12 Pro Max doesn’t. Works outside the case but not with the case on. I’m not going to purchase another “case”. Also, OB will say they are designed to work with OB wireless chargers but I tested it out on my friends and it didn’t work either.

There is no screen protector… The box itself for the
iPhone12 pro max is too shallow to protect it from a drop. The screen will not be protected by this… The belt clip holder does not hold the box tightly enough, easily dislodged. I am using it anyway until I find something bette.
