New unit to replace an old favorite

We bought this to replace an identical unit purchased in 2018. The original was still kicking 6 years later, but was clearly ready for retirement. We use this to cool the bedroom as I have medical conditions that requires it to be very cold in order to sleep. 6 years with it going for 8 hours every night at 64 degrees and barely any trouble.
As for this replacement- So far works great. It’s loud for sure but for this much power you shouldn't expect it to be whisper quiet. There’s a slight frequency buzzing which will take some getting used to but nothing out of the ordinary. This new model looks similar and hooks up to the old window mount, but has its own tubing. The ventilation tube gets very hot, hotter than the previous model. But that shows its workingNd maybe even better than the black and decker model its replacing.
Hoping this one gives me another 6+ years of cool nights. I considered its predecessor the holy grail of ACs and recommend ppl give it a try.

I received and installed the unit two days ago and immediately it cooled my garage to an acceptable level. I live in Central Florida, so that is no easy task!

We bought this a few weeks ago because the AC couldn’t keep up with the upstairs in our townhome and it was such a great purchase! It works great and is keeping us cool this summer. We look forward to trying out the additional features as the seasons change!
