Been running last 3 hours in California heat wave. Room def not that much cooler than when started but will give it over night to catchup. Room size ~400sqft
The item is heavier than I anticipated. I am sure glad that the packaging lifted off the base, as I would not have been able to lift the unit out of its box. But after that everything was a breeze. The weight is also an obstacle when it comes to draining the little tank. I have to lift the 7nit on a little but sturdy stool to get the water to not just flow onto the floor. I wish the tank were not at the bottom and it were larger, and equipped with an autostop, so that it doesn't overflow. Beyond those minor complaints, however, the unit works well (for NYC-suzed apartments) and is reasonably priced.
Just installed it and it’s good. Window installation (horizontal) was super easy. I only installed one screw to hold the width right. The one drawback is the size of the duck. You cannot put the unit against the wall. The duct will require you to place it the unit at least 1.5” away. Wish there was option for duct that matches the size of the hole going out the window. Less efficient for sure but definitely more discrete. It’s a suitable solution for tenants who need more than just a window unit to cool their apartment.
