It can use a Revision or two for the money

It works ok , but the slicing cones are the problem with this unit . I also believe it needs a little stronger motor like 200 watts instead of the 120 watts . This would definitely help speed thing up a bit .

Broken cone, after broken cone, after broken cone. I have had to replace several over the years. Plastic parts are to blame. If the cone was made with full steel it would fix the issue. People are sharing the same experiences on here and on other websites. It’s a great product and time saver but Presto, please build this better!

This is the second salad shooter I’ve purchased and the plastic has broken off the cone part. Other than that i like the machine.

Broken plastic in food

The gray plastic began breaking apart and I bit down on a piece of sharp plastic. I had to throw away a large bag of cheddar I'd shredded. I've had salad shooters for over 30 years.....this newest one was an upgrade a couple years ago. I'm afraid to use any of them now. So disappointed.

Works Great & Cleaning Hint

I bought this quite a while ago and finally used the ripple cutter. It worked really well to cut fancy carrots for a copper coin salad but was thinner than I prefer. I would like to see a thicker ripple cone (I did purchase all the extra cones available). My pretty green ripple cone and the clear acrylic both turned orange from the carrots. I remembered a household hint to wipe with a paper towel saturated in vegetable oil. That worked great and with a quick wash in dish soap & warm water rinse the orange color was completely gone. This was easier with quicker cleanup than my food processor. I do love Presto products. I have been using my 6 qt Presto pressure cooker for over 40 years.
