Iron doesn't get that hot

My mom bought me this iron just over two months ago. She has the exact same iron and loves it. My iron does not get that hot, and I have to re-iron my clothes for work.

Old looking iron

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, nothing new! Ok clothes iron! My mother had this iron and it burned and scorched her clothes. Kept a mildew scent even when water is emptied. Nothing new! Would love an updated model with newer features.

Leaks no matter the setting it is on.Have tried at different settings with no steam and it still leaks.
