Works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been looking for a juicer that was easy to use. This juicer is exactly that. Just put the fruit or vegetable you're wanting to juice in the smaller side and use the press while it's on to gently push the fruit or vegetable through. The juice come out one side and the pulp good into the larger compartment on the other. PSA: If you're trying to juice a fruit or vegetable like avocado or banana, it will come out more like a thick Smoothie.

Space saving but loud

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon first unboxing I was excited to see how small this juicer was, excellent for space saving. I have tried a number of different fruits and vegetables in it. It is great for apples, berries, carrots, cucumbers. It makes more of a puree with things like banana and persimmon. However, when I tried leafy greens i.e kale, spinach the basket would easily clog after just a few pieces. So I would not recommend trying those in this juicer. The juicer is also very loud.

Very disappointed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited to try the Black and Decker - 400W Rapid Juice Extractor but was very quickly disappointed. The overall unit was packaged very well & the juicer is relatively easy to assemble/disassemble. My disappointment came in how it actually worked. I wound up juicing 5 bananas & an orange & the majority of the fruit wound up in the pulp container. Most of the bananas & all of the orange went into the pulp container. Now I've never had a juicer before so maybe I expected more juice to come from the amount of fruit I used than what would be realistic but it didn't seem right when I saw more going into the pulp container than in my actual cup. I tried looking in the instruction manual to make sure I had everything correct but nowadays manuals don't really tell you much. I also wasn't too happy with the cleanup. When I took the top off, there was fruit all underneath & the blade/strainer container was very hard to clean. If you have a dishwasher it might be okay but for those of us who don't & have to hand wash everything, I was having a hard time trying to scrub out all the debris caught in the mesh without getting cut by the sharp blades. At this point I definitely would not recommend this juicer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use juice extractor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the juice extractor from Black and Decker to try for free. The Black and Decker 400W juice extractor is quick and easy to use. I like how easy it is to use. All I had to do was peel the fruit, stuff it into the the hole and turn on the machine and out comes the juice from the side. It is also easy to clean-up too and it is dishwasher safe. I like that you get fresh juice without a lot of work. I definitely recommend this juice extractor because it makes getting fruit and vegetables into your diet quick and easy.

Smooth juice and easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very powerful juicer. The juice was very smooth. I appreciate how the motor is protected so it doesn’t get dirty and the parts are easy to clean. I use my sprayer to clean the screen and it doesn’t take long at all.

It works quickly!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try out this juice extractor because it's the first one I've ever had and I've been thinking about getting one for a while. Since I have nothing to compare, it to I'm not sure if it's doing all it's supposed to do or not but it does work incredibly fast in my opinion. It seems like it leaves a lot of pulp though, and upon running that through again it did get quite a bit more juice out depending on the fruit or vegetable used. If you aren't looking for something that doesn't take all the hardiness out of your juice then this would be great. I personally don't really like not getting all the vitamin content though such as what would be in an apple peeling. All the parts are dishwasher safe which is great. The only problem is the part that separates the juice from the pulp tends to hang on to a lot of pulp as well so if you plan on running it through a dishwasher you want to make sure you use a scrub brush on it first to get most of it off. I did not do that the first time so I ended up having to run it through the dishwasher again after scrubbing it some. A good thing about this product is that it will not operate unless you have both side latches snapped on. I like this because with young children in the house, they will turn things on sometimes before you are ready. I have 3 kids 5 and under who do this all the time. With this feature, I don't have to worry about a juice mess when I'm not ready. It does get pulp everywhere though pretty much so you will still want to put something under it before you take it apart after using it or you will have a mess to clean. I have included pictures of the areas it left pulp and of the pulp container after getting 2 full glasses of juice out. I used a wide variety of things at first to just see how they worked. I tried spinach, carrots, celery, apple, orange (you can see some of the peeling for that) and banans. The bananas pretty much just turned to liquid after going through also as you can see. I did also find a small piece of spinach in the juice. Overall, this is a pretty decent extractor that works fast and is easy to take apart as well. I would recommend the Black & Decker 400w juice extractor for someone who just likes the juice and doesn't care much about the pulp. You could use the pulp for other things such as recipes as well. I can see myself using it more in the future.
