Can't Believe How Reliable It Is

We purchased one of these drip coffee makers used about 7 years ago and loved it so much we bought a second one, new.
You do have to be careful to watch and listen when the water has been fully cycled through and turn the burner off. If not, you won't do it again with that maker.
We upgraded to the stainless steel pot and have no worries.

LOVE this coffeemaker!!

Bought this for our camp trailer & have used it for 3 years to replace a camping perk coffee pot. I've used it on both the trailer stove & a 2-burner camp stove outside. It produced great coffee on both! It doesn't boil over like my perking pot did. It needs to be cooked on high heat to take the least time. Word of warning though, the coffee is hotter than a household drip coffeemaker so if you pour it into an insulated travel mug or thermos it will be burn-your-mouth hot for quite awhile. I happen to love this aspect of it since I can cool my coffee easier than I can reheat it. I also leave it on very low if I'm not using a thermos or travel mug. I have cleaned it with vinegar as per instructions & it did improve the coffee flavor & removed water mineral build up. We use it a lot during camping season & it gets stored over the winter in the trailer. As for durability, it has taken a tumble out of the cabinet (rough roads) & only sustained a dent in the metal casing. We were lucky it landed how it did & we secure it better now but it still works like new. The filter part & water reservoir are heat-resistant plastic of some sort but we've never had any issues with it.

I have never had a problem

I have a coleman automatic drip coffee maker that I have had for 20 years. It still not only works Great. But I love. During storms when the power is out, I'm still having coffee. The trick is don't turn the fla.e up on high, and as soon. As the coffee is done brewing. Turn the flame down , you just want to keep the coffee hot, not boil it. My only complaint. I just bought a coleman camper and want to find a case to put my coffee pot in. Preferably one with storage for my battery operated grinder.

Coffeemaker Fail

Camping isn't camping without coffee in the morning and this looks like a great option but it's not. I buy Coleman products because I expect quality products that work great. This coffeemaker never worked right and IF I was able to produce coffee with it there was usually plenty of coffee splashed all over the camp-stove and lots of grounds in the pot.
Either I got a defective coffeemaker or this item is designed poorly. I hope this is product is discontinued; it is not up to Coleman's standards. After the last camping coffee fail this thing went in the garbage and I felt compelled to write a review.

Worst think Coleman ever made

i've tried making coffee in this 3 times...every time it perks but won't allow it to filter into the pot...it goes all over. Yes, the handle is centered, however it does not allow coffee to get through....VERY BAD DESIGN. It is going back to the store for my money back. I've had many pause & serve coffee makers & never a problem. I used it on a 2 burner Coleman stove. Only reason it got 1 star is because there in nothing less.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
