I bought this a week before Cinco de Mayo and it arrived early. I've used it numerous times when hosting friends and when I'm in the mood for a great margarita/blended drink. Easy to use and clean. It does not take up too much space on the counter. I absolutely love it and highly recommend it.

The Margaritaville Bahamas Frozen Concoction Makers are the absolute best solution for those who desire to make Margaritas, Smoothies, Daiquiris, and other blended beverages. The secret to this machine is that it shaves the ice prior to mixing, and the shaved ice is added to the pitcher while it is mixing. I have had this machine for nearly three years, and with 2-3 times per week usage during the summer, the drinks are still smooth and are of restaurant quality. The only issue to this machine is the size, as it is fairly large to take with you; the companion bag to this is a must have if you plan to take this to events or even on vacation (which you will want to do after you have used it!). This machine deserves every bit of five stars, and is worth every penny. Don't waste your money on a novelty margarita maker; this is the real deal, and you get what you pay for.
The machine's preset settings are good, just fill the pitcher with a little more than 12 ounces of liquid to achieve a smooth drink. The machine has a water reservoir on the back, which is for the excess liquid when ice melts in the chamber. The extension cord will fold up into the back, where a special compartment opens and closes to hide/expose the cord. And, if you want to go "old school" you can shave/blend as much as you desire!
While I haven't had the opportunity to taste drinks from the other Margaritaville Frozen Concoction Makers, I have seen all of them, and this one is by far the smallest of them all. Even though this is a somewhat large machine, the Key West version is quite larger than this one is, and the Bali and Tahiti versions are much larger; so, if you plan to travel with the machine, or if you want to store it in a small kitchen, this is the one to purchase. As for the functions of the machines, this one is the most basic, as it only has one setting, but it may also be all that you need. It produces fantastic drinks, but I am sure if you have the money and space for one of its big brothers, you may want to consider the Bali or Tahiti. If you want a care-free approach, you could get the Bali version and allow guests to serve themselves; or, if you want to make multiple flavors at once, you could go the Tahiti route; however, I would recommend purchasing the Bahamas machine over the Key West machine simply due to price; this one retails for $199, while the Key West (which offers very little additional functionality) retails for $299.
One final note, when cleaning the ice out of the machine, WATCH OUT FOR THE BLADE IN THE ICE COMPARTMENT - IT WILL CUT YOU. While this sounds like common sense, it is difficult to see when the ice reservoir has ice inside of it, and you could easily get cut; my advice is to let the ice melt and drain into the water compartment on the back of the machine, then empty the water out later.
In summary, this machine is awesome; it has everything you could imagine for a margarita machine, but its big brothers are even more impressive. If you want the "basics" (which are still much greater than a blender), this machine will grant you years of enjoyment, and you won't be sorry that you purchased it.
