Waste of money

I bought this blanket before Christmas and it lasted a month. Never washed it, it just quite working. It turns on and then just blinks. So frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are sorry to hear that your Sunbeam® Fleece Heated Blanket with Dial Controller stopped working. There are several causes to a flashing control or a control displaying "FF, F1, or F2":

1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet.
2. Product wasn't plugged in properly.

To fix this problem, do the following to reset your product:

1. Unplug the power cord from the electrical connection.
2. Unplug the cord from the actual product itself (if your product has a detachable cord)
3. Re-plug the cord into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.(if your product has a detachable cord)
4. Re-insert power cord back into a wall outlet.

If troubleshooting doesn't help, please give us a call at 1-(800)-892-7684. For your convenience our Consumer Care team is available Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, EST. We look forward to assisting you!

I was given this blanket a day ago and only got one use out of it before it stopped working. I try unplugging it to see if it would help and it still doesn't work. Ridiculous

Died within two months

It was great for about two months. Now the controller is blinking and I'm not sure how to fix it, and can't seem to find an easy replacement without having to pay for a whole new one.

We sincerely apologize if you're having difficulties with your Sunbeam® Fleece Heated Blanket.
There are several causes to a flashing control.

Bought cause it was lightweight. Was really warm at first, now can't feel warmth at all on highest setting. For the price, should have been made better

Blanket stopped working

I also bought this blanket in autumn of 2020 or November of 202 It worked great up until now that I plugged it in for this winter. It has stopped working. All the controller does is blink. I unplugged it from the wall as well as the plug directly into the blanket. It still does not work, does warm and all it does is blink.....

We are sorry to hear that it's not heating. Our bedding products were made with the highest quality materials and we expect them to last. That is not the experience that we want you to have. We will be more than happy to rectify this. Please try to perform the troubleshooting technique below.

Make sure the product is not plugged into an extension cord/device. This can cause a fault.

1. Turn the blanket control to the "Off" position and unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. Let it rest for 2 minutes.
2. Check the bedding product plug connection that directly plugs into the bedding product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.
3. Hold the power button down and re-insert the power cord back into a wall outlet at the same time.

If the 3 steps above are not followed in order, the bedding product will not properly reset.

If troubleshooting techniques won't work, please contact us directly in order to determine the best resolution.

heats well, controller is a problem

POOR CONTROL DESIGN. handicapped, need to use Alexa VOICE to turn on and off. 10 hr cut out would be great. BUT, it must be manually buttoned ON after any power out or Alexa plug shut off.

There are several causes to this issue:
1. Product is plugged into an extension cord/surge protector and not plugged into a direct wall outlet.
2. Product wasn't plugged in properly.
3. The AC outlet is not functional.

To fix this problem, do the following to reset your heating pad:
1. Check if there is no physical damage on its cord, controller or pad.
2. Turn the heating pad control to the "Off" position and unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. Let it rest for 2 minutes.
3. Check the product plug connection that directly plugs into the product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.
4. Hold the power button down and re-insert the power cord back into a wall outlet at the same time

Didn’t work out of the box

One controller just blinks while the other controller and side of the heating blanket is working. Have tried to unplug/replug connections as instructed. Still does not work. This is my third sunbeam in three years. The previous two all quite working after one year. Trying to find another brand for heated blankets now.

If your bedding product is not working properly, it could be because the unit is not getting enough power or there’s an internal error found. A blanket, mattress pad or heated throw will not heat for the following reasons:

1. Bedding product is plugged into an extension cord and plugged into a direct wall outlet.
2. Bedding product wasn't plugged in properly.
3. The 10 hour auto-off activated (some models)
4. Temperature control was not turned to the highest setting and adjusted for personal comfort.
5. Dual control blanket controls are operating on the wrong sides.
6. Make sure control isn't in the off position.

Also check if there's physical damage on its cord. If there's none, please try to perform the troubleshooting steps below in case your bedding is still turning on.

1. Turn the blanket control to the "Off" position and unplug the power cord from the electrical connection. Let it rest for 2 minutes.
2. Check the bedding product plug connection that directly plugs into the bedding product. Make sure the connection is secure and complete.
3. Hold the power button down and re-insert the power cord back into a wall outlet at the same time.
4. Turn control to “HI” and wait 5-7 minutes.

If the steps above are not followed in order, the bedding product will not properly reset.
