An absolute piece of junk

Not only did it arrive 2 days later than advised, but it is very ineffective. My bedroom is 10 x 12, so 120 square feet and it took forever to cool down.
The biggest problem is the fact it sounds like a passenger jet revving its engines prior to take off. The noise is so loud it was almost impossible to get to sleep and after finally dozing off, I woke about an hour later and had to turn it off. A total waste of money. I regret not spending more and getting a decent product but live and learn. Having already spent my money on this one, however, its no longer an option. Buyer beware.

On Monday June 27th it went on sale for 349.99.
No one from the store at which I purchased this unit, which was Cowichan Commons in Duncan, BC ler me know it was coming on sale.
Other large retailers will either inform you it is coming on sale, or give you the sale price.
So, my days at shopping at Best Buy (not so much ????) are over unless I receive compensation for this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Too noisy!

It's way too noisy... considering to refund it! Plus,... it needs to install with a sliding window, but my window is a hung window... so seems like it won't work!

This unit has less cooling power than stated.
Airflow just isn't enough. Even in a small room, its like trying to fill a pool with a garden hose.

This compact unit fits well in a bedroom. It cools down to the set temperature for a 200 sq ft room (I used a thermometer to track) within an hour. Though I have to be frank that the noise level is something that stopped me from giving 5 stars. It is noisy no matter in high or low fan mode. Don't think I will use it during sleep. Otherwise I like this unit & the installation kit is easy to fit to, as tall as, a patio sliding door.
I would recommend this to a friend!

... I've NEVER owned and used one before. I am so pleased!!!!!!!! It was easy to install. It IS heavy. The window kit (for a sliding door) works wonderfully. I can keep my bedroom at a steady 20 degree C ... perfect for sleeping on hot summer days and nights. I am so pleased with my purchase. Thank you...
