[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it to replace existing 5.1 speaker. I love the clarity and sound. It feels watching movies and songs in a theater. Now seriously upgrading my TV now as speaker elevated my sound experience. I will high recommend Q990 series to everyone. It came with wall mount for speakers

The Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar Is Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar is absolutely amazing! The sound completely fills the room with incredible clarity, deep bass, and true surround immersion. It honestly blows away my expensive AV receiver and full surround speaker setup. The crisp sound and power are simply next level.
Setup couldn’t have been easier. The subwoofer and rear speakers connected automatically the moment I plugged them in; all I had to do was hook up one HDMI cable to the TV. I also connected it to the SmartThings app, which made it simple to adjust advance settings and sound modes.
The only drawback is the rear speaker power cables being too short, they’re only about 5 feet long. For most rooms, they really need to be at least 8 feet. I had to put my rear speakers on stands, and the cables were so short I had to place the stands right in front of the wall outlets, not exactly where I wanted them.
Other than that, this soundbar is flawless. The Dolby Atmos and DTS:X effects are stunning, and it brings movies, games, and music to life. I highly recommend the Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

About a six month update

I'm not sure if I can go back to using TV speakers and/or other inferior soundbars.

Honestly speaking though, I don't hear the difference between Dolby Atmos and non Dolby Atmos content, so I was just a bit disappointed.
I was led to believe it'd blow my mind watching movies with Dolby Atmos on this device, but my mind is yet to be blown.

Other than that, though, it's a fantastic soundbar system that I immensely enjoy using.

Great soundbar with easy to use app

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The sound bar sounds great. Replaced a 7.1 system with a receiver. Wife loves how much more space we have, I love that it’s easy enough to use I don’t have to walk her through troubleshooting it because it always just works.

Best sound bar solution

Purchased it because I have Samsung OLED and it syncs with the TV speakers providing 11.1.4 sound and it does a great job. Have nothing but great things to say about the Q990D. Its sound quality and sync ability with the TV is the ONLY reason I purchased a second Samsung OLED (S95D 77"). All the ports on the Direct Connect box on my 1st TV stopped working so the DirectConnect is basically a very large power supply now. Would not have purchased new S95D but took a chance because the Q990D is just that good. Unfortunately, new S95D has failed two separate times leaving my TV dead each time. On the good side, the second TV keeps failing within its warranty! The 1st TV had the Connect Box ports fail shortly after the warranty ended. Note - I will not buy a third Samsung OLED no matter how much I like the Q990D.
