[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Top notch! Premium sound quality. Upgraded from the HW-N850 with rear satellites. We have 20 foot ceilings and still have an overhead immersion bubble. I prefer the Q990D sound for movies over Sonos.

Best bang for the buck

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been checking out the Samsung Q990D, and honestly, it’s one of the best all-around soundbar systems out there right now. It’s a full 11.1.4-channel setup with a big soundbar, subwoofer, and rear speakers, so you get that proper Dolby Atmos effect with sound coming from all directions. Movies feel huge and immersive, and dialogue is really clear.
What stands out is that it has HDMI 2.1 with 4K at 120Hz passthrough, which makes it perfect if you’re into gaming on next-gen consoles. The sound is dynamic, weighty, and detailed, and I love how it really fills the room.
That said, it’s not perfect. The bass can sometimes feel a little too heavy or boomy, and the rear speakers don’t always stay as active as you’d expect unless you tweak the setup. The front display is also tiny and hard to read, and it doesn’t have Chromecast or auto-calibration, which I think should be standard at this price.
Overall though, if you want a true cinematic experience at home, the Q990D is a powerhouse. It’s pricey, but you’re getting one of the most complete soundbar packages available today.

Samsung Q990D with 11.1.4 Surroun Sound Rocks!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently purchased the Q990D because we were moving and were replacing an older 5.1 Surround Sounds System with a Denon Receiver and Boston Accoustics speakers and strong 10" subwoofer. We wanted a surround sound option that would not require running speaker wire through the attic to connect the front side speakers as well as the rear channel speakers. We were excited to be able to have the surround sound experience without the wires! The wireless speaker setup was extremely easy and I was fully setup in about 15 minutes including unpacking from the box it came in! As soon as we turned the system on we tried out some content with Dolby Atmos and were immediately blown away with the sound clarity and surround sound experience! This sound system blew us away with the movie watching experience! This is the best home theater sound system we have ever experienced right up there with a dedicated Movie Theater Room with recling theater chairs and 7.1 speaker setup with powerful Movie theater Bose Speakers and Kipsch Center channel and Subwoofer! We were immediately brought right into the movie! The power of Dolby Atmos with these very high quality speakers is incredible!
