Beautiful, crisp, powerful sound

Great sound in a small package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Q Series 11.1.4 ch Wireless Dolby ATMOS Soundbar + Rear Speakers sound amazing. The upward firing and rear speakers make you feel like your in the middle of everything. And pairing it with a Samsung TV with Symphony Q made it all the more simple to setup and go.

Alexa is difficult and Game page

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this soundbar a year ago and still sounds amazing.only two problems.
1. The gaming page on the the menu is the only place you can open your gaming console,unless you set Hdmi auto start whenever you turn on your console and even with that it will sometimes auto start when you just turn on the TV, even when you select "don't run last app" when tuned on. If you decide to connect as a regular Hdmi and have your counsel display in the main menu it will take away the Gamepro settings that you would get if it wasn't in the gaming menu wich is filled with adds for Xbox live and other streaming services.
2. ALEXA works on and off, I tried grouping my TV (wich also has Alexa) with the sound bar and it sometimes hard to hear hear her depending witch speaker it chose to speak from, so you'd have to turn up the soundbar to hear her or the tv and get overly loud when regular shows are running (there's no separate sound for the Alexa voice and the general soundbar). Sometimes there is no sound because both speakers conflict with each other, so I had to reset it a few times to fix the issue. Also if they would ad a second sub that would make it a lot better.

Great sound. Unreliable wifi pairing with Samsung

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great sound overall. Base sounds are not as good as Sonos arc. Pairs with Samsung TV over Wifi connection but sound blanks out every so often which is annoying. HDMI eARC connection is better.

Updating the firmware on your soundbar gives you all the benefits of the latest improvements. When the Soundbar is connected to the Internet, Auto Update allows software to update automatically even when the Soundbar is turned off. You can also update by using the SmartThings app.

You may also want to initialize your soundbar by pressing the - and + (volume) buttons on the top of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds. “INIT OK” appears on the display and then the Soundbar is reset. Please know, this will reset all settings on the soundbar back to default; any sound adjustments will need to be performed again.

Amazing soundbar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 6year old LG soundbar. Wanted to go with Q symphony to take advantage of the TV with same technology. The sounds doesn't disappoint. My old soundbar made it hard to make out movies with low talking. This one allows you to bring that sound out more. My kids and I put movies and have a great time with the surround. We feel emersed in the movie.

Great when it is working!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Samsung TV and the Samsung soundbar because I wanted the Q symphony sound using both the TV speakers, the soundbar, wireless base, and wireless surround sound speakers. Really like the set up, minimal wires, and I think great sound. The only issue I am having is that it somehow comes un-synced with each other even though Im using an HDMI E-ARC cable to connect the devices for a "seamless integration". My wife could care less about surround or Dolby Atmos- so if I spend 3-5 minutes to try to reprogram our TV and the soundbar before we watch a show it frustrates her which frustrates me. I wanted to turn the TV and soundbar on with one remote and have it "actively" adjust the sound system for an optimal experience, When it works its great, when it doesnt I sometimes watch shows with just the TV speakers because I dont want to spend the 3-5 minutes (as mentioned above) setting it all up again while wife is patiently waiting. I have seen this complaint on just about every TV/Soundbar forum I have found while trying to find the "fix". Sounds like there isnt one. Even if you download the newest software updates as of July 2025. Anyway, it would really be great if Samsung fixed this for us all. I bought this system (TV/Soundbar) to last about 6 years which is typically how long we use a system. This replaced a 4k TV and an 8 speaker, several thousand dollar system that sounded great, vibrated the house (if you wanted it to), had wires going everywhere. Anyway Help!

Here are a few things you can check to resolve the ARC issue:
1) Make sure the TV has the latest software Version

2) Try setting the digital audio output setting on the TV to PCM

3) Try a different HDMI cable. The cable should be a high-speed HDMI cable capable of 4K/30Hz
