Q990D Soundbar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had my Q990D for about a year now and it’s been great. It is easy to install and configure and it sounds fantastic. I use it all the time to play music from my iPhone and when watching television. It makes watching movies on my QLED tv a much better experience. The wireless rear speakers add so much more dimension to the sound experience. I would fully recommend this product.

Wife can finally hear the dialogue

Turned the Sound Grouping on under the Surround Speaker Setup in the Q-Series Soundbar in Smart Things, and now the sound from the rear speakers mounted just over each of our viewing recliners, and I will not have to complain about her volume settings when I head to bed.

Simple setup and clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to replace and simplify an aging 5.1 surround system. I watch mostly dramas, movies and occasionally game. The Q990D is well built, looks premium and was very simple to setup. The overall sound quality is good, but I would have liked a slightly punchier subwoofer. I believe the surround effects are decent, but since I only have one wall on the right and open room on the left, the simulation/immersion is not as effective. The mobile app is adequate, but sometimes it would have been nice to have an on screen display of the units settings.

A true home theater experience

I use this system daily for everything—streaming shows and movies, watching live sports, gaming, and even work calls—and it’s been nothing short of impressive.
The sound quality is rich, deep, and incredibly immersive. The Dolby Atmos with upward-firing speakers makes it feel like sound is coming from all around you, not just from the front. Watching action movies or big cinematic series feels like I’m in a theater. The dialogue is crystal clear, even during loud scenes, which was a big upgrade from my old setup.
Gaming with this soundbar is on another level. Game Mode Pro gives me surround sound that helps track every movement—perfect for competitive games where sound direction matters. It’s given me a more immersive experience whether I’m playing story-based games or online with friends.
For sports, the clarity of the announcers combined with crowd noise makes it feel like you’re right in the middle of the action. Even for work, I use the system to take video calls—the voices come through clearly, and the wide soundstage makes multitasking around the house easy.
Setup was seamless. The wireless rear speakers and subwoofer keep the room clean and uncluttered. Plus, Q-Symphony with my Samsung TV takes the sound to another level by combining the TV speakers with the soundbar for a fuller experience. Best purchase ever!

This sound bar is an absolute beast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soundbar system as an upgrade to my previous one and I was blown away by the sound it could produce. Watching top gun 1&2 and playing video games on my ps5 pro was just absolutely amazing
The surround sound is great. I can tell where the enemies are coming from and I was able to locate certain things in the game I was playing based off where the sound was coming out from the speakers and I found that absolutely amazing and the volume is really loud and having it set at 12-14 was loud enough for me and I have a pretty large living room.
All in all I would say I highly recommend this soundbar system. Sound is good bass feels great as well. Pair it with movies or games that supports Dolby atmos you will be treated to an amazing audio experience!!!
