Surround sound at its best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like it that's ita easy to set-up, literally plug and play, build materials is also good, the sound is very amazing, truly fills up any living room setup, it has also wifi so you can use the speaker as is, this product is highly recommended.

The spacefit application is awesome along with the adaptive sound. I still own the samsung Q90R soundbar which is tremendous. But this soundbar takes it to another level.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the new soundbar. I mainly use it for music and I love it the bass is so deep especially with the bass enhancement from the app.
It really easy to set up as well just opened the box and plugged everything into place. Having the app as well has been amazing being able to control the volume as well as other settings. It’s been amazing having the soundbar. The control remote is also very well built it’s really easy to use and mess with the settings with.
I’ve also watched a few movies and the rear speakers pack a volume to them. It sounds like planes are flying over me when watching specific movies like Top Gun. I love it for movie nights makes my home the perfect place to watch movies.
My two favorite modes so far are adaptive audio and surround sound. Adaptive audio sounds great when I have music playing it depth the bass and it sounds so crisp and fills my room with the music. The surround sound mode sounds awesome when watching movies and I always change it to that setting for the best experience.
Overall I’ve had no issues with the soundbar and I just love it. I practically use it everyday for entertainment.

This product sound great but not for the price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the soundbar, surround speakers and woofer is good but it's not quite goood enough for the price purchased.
I was expecting more with that price tag and the surround speakers are heavy and bulk but not having the performance for the size and same with the woofer.

We appreciate you providing your feedback and experience with the HW-Q990D soundbar. Please know there are a wide range of audio adjustments available to tune the sound to your liking.
You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function such as Auto EQ, Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
Alternatively, you can press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.
You can try quickly optimizing the audio by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.
To control the volume of each speaker, press the CH LEVEL button on the provided remote. Then select CENTER LEVEL, SIDE LEVEL, WIDE LEVEL, FRONT TOP LEVEL, REAR LEVEL, or REAR TOP LEVEL. Once you find the channel you are looking for, adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.
There are multiple ways to control the bass levels for your new Soundbar.
1) Using the WOOFER button on the provided Soundbar remote. Use the woofer button by pushing forward or pulling backward on the button itself to adjust the bass levels between -12 or -6/+6. If you want to reset the bass to 0 then push the button in.
2) When you press the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the treble or bass levels between -6/+6.
Alternatively, you can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device.

Immersive Sound with Minor Hiccups after a month

The 11.1.4 channel setup creates rich, immersive audio, and the Dolby Atmos support truly shines when watching action films or playing games. The wireless rear speakers and subwoofer connected effortlessly out of the box, and the overall sound quality is balanced, powerful, and room-filling.
However, I did run into some frustration with a firmware update issue that caused the system to behave unpredictably. Unfortunately, the official documentation provided no troubleshooting guidance. I had to search community forums to find a working reset method that ultimately resolved the problem. It would be helpful if Samsung improved their documentation or included more thorough troubleshooting steps for firmware-related issues.
Despite that one issue, the performance of the Q990D once everything is working is outstanding. The adaptive sound and space fit features work well, and the unit integrates smoothly with Samsung TVs. Overall, highly recommended if you're looking for a top-tier surround sound experience, just be prepared to do a little research if setup doesn’t go smoothly.

Incredible Soundstage and Immersive Audio – Q990D

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the Samsung Q990D for a few weeks now, and I’m blown away by the performance. This is hands-down one of the best soundbars I’ve ever owned. The 11.1.4 channel setup delivers true surround sound with room-filling audio that puts you right in the center of the action.
Setup was straightforward—everything synced seamlessly with my Samsung TV via Q-Symphony. The sound is crystal clear, with powerful bass from the subwoofer and incredible vertical dimension from the up-firing speakers. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X content sounds phenomenal, whether I’m watching a movie or playing games.
Music playback is equally impressive. Clean mids, solid low-end, and enough clarity for detailed vocals or instrumentals. Streaming via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi is also smooth with zero dropouts.
The only downside? It’s a bit pricey—but you absolutely get what you pay for in terms of premium build, immersive sound, and seamless smart features.
If you’re serious about your home theater audio, the Q990D is absolutely worth it.
