Q990D is the best!

Got this in December along with 75" Neo QLED. Was not really even looking to replace the 2021 QLED and sound bar but after reading reviews of the Q990D I had to check it out. Best sound bar I've ever seen hands down. Surround sound is incredible with ATMOS. You feel and hear sound all around you. This is by far worth every penny of the original price.

Samsung Q990D System Is Pure Delight

I’ve been astounded by this system’s incredible performance from the smallest speaker to the huge subwoofer. With the app, all the control for customization is in my hands. I actually replaced my basement media room ceiling tiles to prepare for this system. The two smaller rear multi-directional speakers are as essential as the 4-foot long soundbar. Without them, forget about multi-channel surround and spatial audio. The great thing is how no separate amplifier/receiver is needed to produce sparkling room filling sound design. I watched numerous YouTube videos and read countless reviews before ordering this system and dumping my Denon receiver and Klipsch 5.1 speakers. No regrets, just pure delight.

Technical issue, sometimes won't work, no sound, after troubleshooting, taking power out and in, it works. Contacted technical care, but no luck.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar.

First, try doing a soft reset, unplug the soundbar from the outlet for roughly 30 seconds and then plug it back in.

Next, update the firmware on your soundbar. The easiest way to accomplish this would be to download the SmartThings app and connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. This will allow you to not only download any firmware updates but also control your entire soundbar on the screen of your smart device.

Please also verify that you are running the latest firmware on your TV. You can check to see what software version your TV is using and if there is an available update through the settings on your TV. Go to: Menu > Settings > Support > Software Update.

If this still does not correct your issue, then do a hard reset. With the Soundbar on, press the + & - Volume buttons on the body of the soundbar at the same time for at least 5 seconds.

Exactly as advertised. The system is incredible and top of it's class. The sound from the sound bar is sharp at all levels and the side speakers truly elevate the listening experience. I am no audiophile, but this truly made me appreciate great sounding speakers. These are great for listening to music and even better for an easy home theater experience.
