Great features and sound. Bass not so great.

It has great 3d sound especially using Qsymphony. The only problem is the bass i can barely hear it no matterwhere I place the subwoofer. I have a Q910A that has a better bass than this.

Great...til it wasn't.
Disney+, Hulu, Paramount & Peacock all worked along with Prime, Amazon and all of my other subscriptions.
In December the first 4 apps stopped streaming only on this TV. The menus work, the trailers and functions work, but nothing will actually play.
The apps work fine on the other TVs, tablets and smartphones in the house

Easy setup, but bricked from firmware update.

Bricked by firmware update after only enjoyed for 6 months. While it worked we really enjoyed the sound quality.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Q990D delivers sound as advertised. Easily fills your room. Syncs seamlessly with other Bluetooth devices. Surround sound impressive. The ‘wireless’ rear speakers and subwoofer (but wired for power) eliminates most annoying wires. Have NOT lost Bluetooth with main speaker. Music, sports and non surround content all sound good.

Great soundbar, but missing this feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my soundbar for a variety of listening experiences. I'm a huge music fan and the sound from this soundbar is excellent. I also watch a lot of movies and sporting events and the atmos effect when available is great, I have a low ceiling, about 8-9 feet. The feature this is missing is dual subwoofers and the availability of a larger 1 for more pinch.

The 1 thing it's missing is the ability to add a larger or second sub for this if us that want a little more kick. Don't get me wrong, the sub that comes with it works great, just wish it had the flexibility.

A Treat For Any Home Theater Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] No receiver can match the channels provided with the Q Series 11.1.4 ch Wireless Dolby ATMOS Sound bar + Rear Speaker (2024)! The sound quality is immaculate with Hi-Res Lossless audio. The synergy better Samsung's TV's and Soundbar's reach a cinematic experience words cannot describe. This soundbar is a 10/10, would recommend piece of equipment for any home theater.

I Don't Think It Has Enough Bass

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the HW-Q930D and ended up returning it because the subwoofer didn't have enough bass that you could feel when watching movies. These have been movies with explosions in them, music, and other action scenes that worked to test this. Recently got this model, the HW-Q990D after being told that the bass is more powerful and a much better system. After setting it up and watching a few movies to test it, the sound in general is good. Unfortunately, I don't hear that much bass from it, and not much difference from the system I returned. Have it set to the max level on the subwoofer and the bass levels. Does not even shake the rooms or you can feel it much on the sofa. I have it on the right side of the sofa and have a tile floor. I read others reviews saying that it shakes their room and has amazing bass sound. I don't think is worth the price that paid for when can get a system for less money that might get better bass sound.

Thank you for taking a moment to review the HW-Q990D Soundbar.

There are two adjustments that can be made to maximize bass from the soundbar and subwoofer:
1. Using the WOOFER button on the remote, you can adjust the level between -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

2. Adjust the bass control by pressing the TONE CONTROL button on the remote control, then select BASS to increase the level. You can adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics.
