Missing important functionality

sound is good, one biggest drawback is 7 band eq is disabled when surround speakers are on. You can only use 7 band EQ with rear speaker disabled. Samsung should have enable option for better sound tuning.

We appreciate you taking a moment to review the Samsung HW-Q990D Soundbar.
You do not need to disable the rear speakers, however to utilize the 7 bad EQ the soundbar "Standard" mode must be set.
You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function such as Auto EQ, Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.
One of the new and amazing features the HW-Q990D Soundbar has is Sound Grouping, which allows you to enjoy what's playing on your Soundbar and the Rear Speakers at the same time.
Alternatively, you can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device.

Best Sound Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use the soundbar to watch movies and play games, while watching movie in my samsung 75" TV with the soundbar it feels as if I am watching in a movie theater. Sound is very clear, it has more bass which feels as if you are there on the screen feeling all the experience hands on. Surround sound is the best.

The elegant design blend and with furniture so well by itself it's piece of art. My next step is to buy the frame and the music frame.

Had a problem with it disconnecting from the app, and not be recognized, but somehow it fixed itself.
Sounds good, doesn’t have the stuff that Bose has to direct the sound to your position in the room, but it does have multiple adaptive and surround sound modes that work decent, and night/ audio mode are good.

The clean, crisp sound mixed with the quality, full bass sound makes this speaker system top of the line! Highly recommend
