Sound quality is good. You get what you pay for. I use it for my bedroom TV so no complaints. Can't tell when Atmos is active as the light is on top of the soundbar that is not visible from your seating position. Very annoying to setup using a Fire stick. Went thru the setup multiple times and it just would not work. Also tried using manual IR codes for TCL that i found using a Google search. No luck. Took multiple unplugging of the fire stick from the TV, and unplugging soundbar and it suddenly worked.. However can't see it as a managed device in the fire stick. But it doesn't bother me.
Provides much better sound compared to the 4K LG TV speakers and has more than enough volume and bass for the mid-sized room we are using it in. The price is very good compared to many also and if I am going to spend 500 plus on a sound bar I would prefer to add it to buying a better TV that does not need a sound bar.
This soundbar with the wireless subwoofer represents really good value for the amount of money. I like how compact it is. It was easy to setup and there are mounting hooks to hang it on the wall quickly and easily. The subwoofer is small, which I like but pretty light weight in terms of performance. It does put out some bass but I would have liked a little more weight to it as the bass is not as solid as it could be. My Bose Acoustimass has a similarly sized subwoofer that weighs 3 times as much and delivers a lot more solid bass. But it also costs 4 times as much so I guess there's that. The soundbar itself is great. I tried both the optical and HDMI connections and both are pretty much identical in performance. The volume is really loud, especially when connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. I have to turn down the phone to where the volume bar barely shows to deliver normal volume. One third of the way up you are letting the neighbours know you're rockin it. There are buttons on the top of the sound bar that let you switch the sound field, and it announces the type of optimization. There are also bass and treble buttons on the remote, but because the subwoofer is so lightweight, adding bass just causes muddy sound, so it's best with a neutral setting. Overall, for just over $100 you can't beat it. But if you want something more powerful you might want to look at more expensive options.
I bought this sound bar system to match with my TCL 4k google TV. I was very pleasantly surprised. The sound quality is superb. Bass frequencies are perfect and punchy. Mids and highs are crisp and bright. When paired with the TV everything works flawlessly. Im very happy with this purchase.
