This soundbar with the wireless subwoofer represents really good value for the amount of money. I like how compact it is. It was easy to setup and there are mounting hooks to hang it on the wall quickly and easily. The subwoofer is small, which I like but pretty light weight in terms of performance. It does put out some bass but I would have liked a little more weight to it as the bass is not as solid as it could be. My Bose Acoustimass has a similarly sized subwoofer that weighs 3 times as much and delivers a lot more solid bass. But it also costs 4 times as much so I guess there's that. The soundbar itself is great. I tried both the optical and HDMI connections and both are pretty much identical in performance. The volume is really loud, especially when connected to my iPhone via Bluetooth. I have to turn down the phone to where the volume bar barely shows to deliver normal volume. One third of the way up you are letting the neighbours know you're rockin it. There are buttons on the top of the sound bar that let you switch the sound field, and it announces the type of optimization. There are also bass and treble buttons on the remote, but because the subwoofer is so lightweight, adding bass just causes muddy sound, so it's best with a neutral setting. Overall, for just over $100 you can't beat it. But if you want something more powerful you might want to look at more expensive options.
