I purchased this cooktop to replace a 27 yr. old Whirlpool solid element with downdraft cooktop. I love the sleek look, ease of cleaning, and especially the multi-speed downdraft fan which is so quiet.I needed a 36 inch to fit the space cut in the countertop and am pleased to get an extra burner. Hopefully this cooktop lasts as long since Whirlpool and Kitchenaid are now the same company.

This cooktop is innovative with several dual burners. It's easy to use, it heats evenly and the downdraft does a good job of getting steam out. The cooktop is easy to clean and looks like new after each cleaning. I love it.
Pros: Performance, easy to use, Innovative, Design

The down draft fan does not pull the cooking fumes out. The greasy reside goes up on my cabinets. I am very unhappy with it. Also the solid black surface is a nightmare to clean.

Having to switch from gas to electric was hard, but this cooktop makes the switch easier. It heats up quickly, and the heat is consistent. The only complaint I have is that it's difficult to get food off the surface. I feel like it always looks dirty and needs to be scrubbed, even after I've cleaned it.

At first glance, the overall look and style was just what we were looking for! The versatility of choosing the burner size was a big plus. I do, however, find that the glass top surface is VERY hard to keep clean. Cooking spills stain easily and, despite using the recommended cleaning products and methods, the stains remain.

I have been using my new cook top for a few weeks now - it is fantastic to be able to use the big dual burner on one side and another burner and the warming burner on the other. So much versatility.

Replaced a Thermador cooktop with downdraft venting!

I replaced a Thermador cooktop with a downdraft fan. I like the fact that this cooktop has the fan built in and you can barely notice it. I live in an area that has no gas so I am stuck with electric. It is still hard to keep clean. Every mark shows but you have the same problem with stainless steel. All in all, it cooks much faster than my old Thermador and I am really happy with its overall performance. I would have liked to order the cooktop with touch controls but it was too expensive.
