bought about 4 to 6 months ago, had in the shipping box for 4 to 5 months until counter top was up-dated. used it to boil eggs first time. used it 4 to 5 times now, not very often eat at home.

Cooktop heats quickly but maintaining a constant High setting is difficult.
Keeping the surface clean is not easy, the slightest spill leaves a mark and it takes a lot of elbow grease to remove them.
I was also disappointed that a cleaning kit (that I had to purchase separately) was not included in our order.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I wish I had bought the induction cooktop. Its very hard to keep clean.
Pros: Performance, Design
Cons: it always looks dirty, cleaning around knobs is hard, cant use cast iron

Kitchenaid electric cooktop

We recently bought this cooktop and after installation, we find that one burner does not get hot enough to boil water. It also shuts off by itself. The company who does the warranty work is supposed to replace (?) the burned next week. I guess I am reviewing this purchase too soon and can't really answer the questions below. (yet)

I have had two electric cook tops prior to this one. Less than two months after I bought this product one of the burners went out. It is extremely hard to clean. I have never had a cook top that was this hard to clean. It seems that a different type of glass was used on this product. I am disappointed and wish I had converted to gas. Won't buy another one

We recently remodeled our home, in the kitchen design we wanted open and easy to move around as often at least 2 people are in the kitchen. We did not want an overhead vent and the best option that was also a great value was this cook top. My wife and mother both love how it cooks and works.
