So much easier to clean than the old Magic Chef that had the frame with a lip. the lip would catch food particles and was hard to clean. The new KitchenAid without a lip is easy to take care of and the dual size burners are fantastic to choose the size to match the pan.

This is the most versatile and handy cooktop imaginable! I cook every day and find new ways to use the several burners at the same time. This is a truly functionals product that everyone will delight in.
Pros: Performance, easy to use

I just had my cooktop installed two weeks ago and so far I love it! The three dual eyes make it incredibly adjustable to meet any demand. I love the sleek, clean lines and the black glass is beautiful! From reading previous reviews, I learned to use only paper towels and a spray cooktop cleaner - this makes clean up a breeze. I have not had occasion to use the downdraft as yet but it does not seem to be as powerful as my last downdraft.

Disappointed with this cooktop

I purchased this cooktop to fit the space in my countertop but I would have preferred the 30 inch model. We are not happy about it.The biggest complaint about this cooktop is that it is a mess to clean it up. It accumulates stains easily which are hard to remove. The fan system works poorly. The design of the The stainless steel edges that are at the bottom and top of the cooktop can lead to easy cutting if you are not careful when cleaning it. The edges are very sharp and should have designed differently. If anyone who has this black cooktop knows how to clean and maintain it shiny please let us know. Some of the burners warm faster than others for no reason.

Bought this model because our original 36" KitchenAid died after 7 years. I thought if I replaced it with the same brand and size it would create less problems for installation, but this was not the case. The venting was 5" instead of 6?, which is a rather unusual size. The unit itself was only 35 1/2?, which left gaps on both sides. Now I have to get an insert to fill that gap. We have had a few minor issues with the heating elements that someone has looked at once already. I am surprised with the issues because KitchAid has always been high on our list of reliable brands.

We purchased the Kitchen Aid at the recommendation of the installer. It is great in all ways. The downdraft works well. We do not find it hard to clean. The only change I would make would be to put the warming unit in the back rather than the front. Having another front burner would make the cook top easier to use for shorter people.
