I really like this cooktop except the warming burner is in the front, in the way, instead of in the back. I think the arrangement could have been adjusted to allow it to be in the back. I like the downdraft, the first I've had. And the extra width makes cooking with multiple pots/pans easier and more convenient. It doesn't sit flat on the countertop, leaving a gap that catches food particles, dust, etc. but I like it nevertheless.

Love the look! This replaced a 30" with large ceiling hood. The downdraft gives a bigger, cleaner look. The metal trim looks great on our granite choice. We didn't think we'd have room for anything in the cabinet with the fan unit below. We were pleasantly surprised to stow away large pots, skillets and splatter screens. The large dual burner also works great for pancakes in a 14" nonstick fry pan. Waited a long time for the install, but all worth it.

Replaced a 30 year old Amana downdraft of comparable size. A 3/4" cut was required from the front of the existing opening, and the hole for the down draft was adjusted accordingly. It was simple to install for two people -- a requirement to prevent the top from being damaged during placement. The finish of the control knobs is extraordinary. They are solid metal with a heavy gasket to prevent grease or other foreign material from entering around the surface opening. I have enjoyed cooking many dishes and use the exhaust fan every time. The exhaust fan is quiet and powerful. Operates more efficiently than must up drafted exhaust that I have experienced. When I am in the market for other KitchenAid products I will seriously look at their product first.

We are truly enjoying using our new cook top. We replaced an old JennAir unit. We actually have more room under the cabinet than before and had room to add a drawer. That is probably not typical, but it worked out that way for us.

We bought this a few weeks ago and I just love it! We replaced a gas cooktop with this one and some friends said we would not like cleaning it, but it is simple, simple compared to the gas cooktop. The warmer is so handy and the huge burner on the top right is perfect for my needs. It looks so nice in my kitchen that I just stand and look at it!
