S24 ultra fails to live up to expectations

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was extremely disappointed receiving the s24 ultra. The camera did not accurately capture subjects. Everything had a cool tone to it, even with the warmth settings all the way up. The colors were completely off. The harsh enhancements made photos even worse as well.
The screen also appeared very dull in general and almost "fuzzy."
It was very weird looking at the 24 ultra side by side to the 22 ultra - and a model 2/3 years old now blew the brand new device away.
I also was not happy the front facing camera is still downgraded from the 22 ultra. The enhancements the 24 had were supposed to make up for the downgraded mp but it was clear that it did not.
The same issues occurred in camera no matter which lens was used as well.

We recommend updating the software whenever a new version is available so you can make sure your device stays in tip-top shape. After updating to the latest software, make sure to turn off Adaptive color tone. You can do this by: • Settings > Display > Adaptive color tone or • Quick panel > Brightness bar > More options > Adaptive color tone. After turning off adaptive color tone, you will be able to adjust the color setting to tune the display to your liking. Also, be sure to turn off Eye Comfort Shield. Take a moment to review, "Adjust keyboard setting on your Galaxy phone" if you would prefer to utilize voice input for your messaging, linked below. Your Galaxy S24 Ultra’s camera is the first Galaxy smartphone to come equipped with the Quad Tele system. With the Quad Tele system, users can take clearer, crisper photos in the optical zoom range they typically use. Even when shooting in digital zoom ranges, users can get more detailed photos and videos than before thanks to AI Zoom solution, based on the new ProVisual engine. In addition to zoom, the powerful ProVisual engine upgrades high resolution, Nightography and Super HDR photos. For your convenience, I have also provided a link to your device manual so that you may configure your camera settings to your liking. Fun fact: Your Galaxy S24 Ultra uses AI throughout many apps. For example, the camera uses AI Zoom to take better zoom photos. Generative Edit uses AI to fill in backgrounds and move, resize or erase objects. Live Translate lets you communicate in other languages over the phone. If you choose, you are able to disable or only allow on-device processing for the AI features. There is also a "master switch" to disable all cloud-based processing for the Galaxy AI features. Settings->Advanced Features->Galaxy AI. S24 Ultra could be better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] S24 ultra is a good phone that is missing the micro sd slot & ir blaster that has been requested by many loyal samsung customers & should be included in a phone that calls itself an ultra phone. I like my S24 ultra but besides the 2 complaints i mentioned earlier we could also use a bigger battery & 16 gb of ram along with a fresh design for the s25 ultra. So far I'm enjoying the S24 ultra,just wish samsung would bring back some of those missing features that made previous note & ultra phones the best for samsung fans.I would give this phone a solid 4 stars but if you want a 5 star rating give us more without jacking up the price any further.

Best Ultra Ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had many phones over the years and the Ultra series has always been one of my favorites but this year is difficult. My all time favorite Note/Ultra was the Note 10.
This is better in every way.
The screen is in itself enough of an upgraded I could just stop there. The 6.8" squared rectangular screen with the first anti reflective coating on Android ever which is also more scratch resistant. Now there is adaptive color tone which can adjust the color balance in real time. I l9ve it and feel it works better than other devices I have used with similar technologies. The squared corners give you much more usable space than rounded colors so popular now. The brightness, the color, it is just a fantastic screen. I would like to see Samsung address gradient color banding in these otherwise flawless screens-must be a software display driver issue? Still a fantastic screen no less and color banding happens on other current devices.
The phone is slightly smaller, has uniform bezels, the Titanium frame feels great and I love the blasted finish as it adds grip to the phone. I wish they color matched the Titanium to the glass but otherwise love it. Love the blue but would love a deep sky blue more saturated. But colors this year are good. Build quality is excellent.
Speakers and haptics feel improved.
Performance and battery life are phenomenal. Reception is excellent.
To me, the S24U is the most Android, Android phone.

Not what i expected

After using the device for several weeks, I have realized that it gets too hot when using the camera, some common applications like Spotify or WhatsApp have strange problems, the battery does not even last a full day, the x100 zoom is bad, and the content uploaded to Instagram or WhatsApp is still of very poor quality, I am not very happy with the purchase, it is one of the most expensive devices on the market and it does not perform as it should.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
