STAY FAR, FAR AWAY!!!

While this printer does what you want it to do, it sucks up ink faster than I have ever seen a printer suck up ink before. We have always bought new Epson ink cartridges and the higher quality ones (125 over 124) at that.
We never abused this printer and live in a smoke and animal free home. Never put drink on or near the printer and placed it in a wide-open area so there was always plenty of ventilation. BARELY over a year after we bought it, it quits working. It won't even turn on! We tried using different outlets in our house to no avail. Other things work in the same outlet it was plugged into the entire time, but not this printer all of a sudden.
Granted it has just been a year since we purchased it and Epson no doubt has moved on to about 30 different printers since this one; however, if presented the opportunity to purchase another printer instead of this one, take it! The printer we had previous worked fine for 7 years. That one was not an Epson. We only changed the printer because the old one did not do everything that this one could do.
Most of the time we owned it, it was off because it was not being used everyday so there was no sense in wasting the electricity. There were no storms that could have created a power surge to destroy it and even if there was a storm, we had it plugged into a surge protector.
It is really interesting how this died immediately after the warranty expired. It's almost like it is designed to do that. So now I need to spend money I do not have to buy a printer I should not have to be replacing. Guess which brand I will definitely not even consider looking at?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

it is a good printer,however I have been getting alot of problems whenever the printer is inactive for a week or two.

DO NOT BUY, WORST PRINTER IVE EVER USED

This is absolutely the worst printer I have ever owned, I wish I read the reviews before I bought it. First of all, it is the slowest printer I have ever experienced! Next, the ink runs out extremely fast, and whenever you refill them it takes twenty minutes for the printer to realize that you put new ink in and it continuously tells you the ink is still low. Also I just put in a brand new black ink cartridge and it will not let me print a black &white document because the blue ink is out, does that make any sense? I waste so much time trying to get this printer to work properly, think twice before you buy this product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great product. Easy to use & set up. The only reason I did not put 5 stars is I think they should have included the USB connection, or at least made it more obvious that I needed to purchase one.

I like this printer alot. It has great printing quality and also scans documents so that you can save it on your computer. It also will scan just about anything and then print it for you. This printer gets an AA.
