Great as a replacement of analog hard drive

Solid state is the way to go, Faster, more reliable, and now almost as cheap per gigabyte. I've installed several of these inexpensive PNY drives in customer's computers over the past year or so. Their systems are much faster now, and none of them have had problems so far. If you go with the small, 120 GB drives, make sure you check how much space you need. It may not be enough if you have a lot of pictures, music, and/or video. Some other techs have said the PNY brand may not be as reliable, but I haven't seen any failures.

Faster than conventional

I've become a big fan of solid state drives, especially as the price has come down on them. If I have a system that doesn't require a whole lot of capacity (say around 240 GB or less), go for a pure Solid State Hard Drive. But if you need more, this 1 TB hybrid is a great compromise. It's fast. Not as fast a SSHD, but faster than a conventional spinning disk. Althought he price is a bit higher than a conventional drive of the same capacity, the extra speed makes it worthwhile.

Overpriced replacement

It's pretty common for original equipment HP chargers to fail. I see it all the time. These replacement chargers don't seem to be much better. They often fail after a time as well. I've learned that for a little more money you 're probably better off buying a universal adapter that will perhaps have greater longevity, and give you the added benefit of working on other laptops as well.

The price of solid state drives has declined significantly in recent months, making them now affordable compared to conventional drives. Although capacity is less for the same price as a conventional mechanical drive, that's a moot point with cloud backupyservices. The difference in speed is significant,and I probably will not be buying any more "dinosaur drives."

The Thermaltake brand is known in the industry as among the best. I purchased this as a replacement for a burned out unit for a customer (I have a computer repair shop). Its price was competitive with the Dynex brand, which is BB's house brand and, all things being equal, well I would choose Thermaltake any day. The importance of a good Power Supply Unit to the stability and longevity of a computer system can't be overstated. Avoid the cheap PSUs out there and get a decent one like this one.

Is the 4.5mm to 7.4mm adapter available separately?
I really just need that 4.5mm to 7.4mm adapter and have not been able to find it anywhere else.
If by "available separately" you mean "can I get it without buying the whole charger?" the answer is no. You have to buy the whole, expensive thing. Try check the cost of a universal adapter. It's a better value.

the power supply in my hp pavilion desktop failed & i replaced it with this dynex 520 w ps. the ps works great, but now my computer won't boot up - windows won't start & i get a 'boot failure' message. what did i do wrong?
You probably forgot to connect your hard drive to the new power supply. Make sure it's fully seated.

Does this power supply work with intel pentium d cpu's?
A while ago I upgraded my dell dimension e520 from a intel dual core 1.83 Ghz to an intel pentium d 930 3.00 Ghz cpu. However, the model compatibility states that it works with dual-core and multicore CPUs. Would it still work with the cpu I currently have?
Of course it will work, but you might want to go with the Thermaltake brand instead. Their 430-watt would be sufficient and it's around the same price.
