Good fridge for the price, but lacking options

Good fridge, have had it about a month and have had no issues. Controls are straightforward, and it operates efficiently (temp is maintained well, if a little cooler than my old fridge). The interior is well designed for cleanup, with every piece removable.
My only complaint is that there really isn't very many options for positioning the internal shelves/door items. The top and bottom shelves only have one position, and the middle shelf has a low/middle/high option that changes it's elevation in about 1 inch increments (so you can basically have your middle shelf equidistant between the top and bottom, or 1 inch closer to either). Your door options are also limited, leaving you with a 'this is pretty much the way its going to be' design.
I'm sure you can get those options if you chose to spend more, so the question is how important is that to you. For us, this has been a great value fridge.

is the ice maker
removable? we tend to just freeze our own ice cubes - and wouldn't need this feature
Not that i'm aware of, but you could just choose to not attach the water line. This is what i've done, and the fridge functions fine (there's a control to 'not make ice'). The ice mechanism itself is pretty compact (like 5" wide by 3" tall), and is attached to the top of the freezer, so we don't even notice it.
