This is your typical coffee maker, only smaller for those that only want to drink a couple of cups instead of a pot. My only complaint with some of these coffee makers such as this one is that the automatic shut off is after 1 hour. You have to turn it off and then on again to reset the timer. Unless i'm missing something, as I did not read the directions : )
