I bought this to be expanded storage for my Xbox One (requires USB 3.0). I got home plugged it up and it recognized the drive as a media source but not for the expanded storage. Did research and found out any drives with Backup purposes on it like this one have hidden partitions on it for the recovery software. Took a little work but got it cleaned off so the Xbox One could use it. No issues since.

Good overall monitor...

Touch screen is a good addition to any system, but ties in especially well with Windows 8.1 touch laptop.
Only real issue is the non traditional stand. It does allow for the touch monitor to lay pretty flat but for my case I would have liked it to stand up straighter. I also had a problem that I wanted the monitor to sit 2 inches lower by removing the bottom clear bezel (easier to incorporate into my desk setup by being closer to touch) but it would not stand correctly because of the design of the stand.
A small issue (just a tiny annoyance) is that it has an auto input change upon no signal detection. I have two systems plugged into it so when I just have to reboot my main laptop it automatically switches input.
But overall use and functionality is great. It a touch screen monitor that works as a touch screen monitor.

Yes you can! Essentially it is just a monitor with a usb driver! Mine works great off of Windows 8.1!

Can this monitor be mounted like a flat screen television?
Yes...
There are mounting holes on the back of the monitor. As to what mount and what screws fit I cannot say.
The biggest difference is the TV mounts are larger and this takes a smaller Monitor mount.

even though its a touchscreen can I still use my tower and is this capatible with hp?

It will be compatible with any HDMI output device. So the brand (HP) should not be affected.
The touch screen is a separate (additional cabled USB) feature for the monitor. I have two monitor connected through HDMI and am able to switch inputs to the tower I have connected. The touch screen USB is not plugged in the tower so it does not function but the monitor does show my towers screen.

How Do I Enable or Disable Touch Screen Monitor? One of my children have done something to my monitor causing the touch screen to not work.
The touch screen is connected through the USB cable to the left (Non Power Button Side) of the "Audio In". That cable must be connected to which ever computer you are trying to use the touch screen on. If it's connected correctly you may have to try a new cable or different USB port on your computer.
