i already have the sony action cam which i bought over go pro, i had a go pro, i was tired of editing video since it does not have video stabilization, i had seen how much better the video comes out from the camera without having to touch up anything from the sony, low light also big thing for me was better.

dont settle for the smaller cheaper cameras, upgrade now to a6000, that is a camera you never have to replace, so fast, i had seen a video that the autofocus and fps were way faster than the compatible canon 70d, which is almost double price.

no it will not work, it will disconnect from camera due to wifi does not work underwater. The reason they use wifi is because it is stronger than BT better range as well, better control, except under water.

Will it work in extreme cold? I like to ski and I have owned a camera before that would not work for long if the temperature was under 30 degrees.
for that situation, refer to the specs online at sony website, it will give the full specs on temperature and everything else, that is just not an everyday thing 30 degrees below.
