At this price, it's worth it

Extended warranties: worth it or not? It's up to you, but for electronics, I think it can be well worth the extra charge. In this case, I bought the Roku on sale, so the cost of the coverage about equalled what I save.
Since the cost was not a huge percentage of the purchase price, I think it's worth it, but some people never buy them. My first HDTV died after about three years, and I was very glad I had the extended warranty for that. It saved me about $1200 (original cost minus the cost of the extended warranty). Plus, I got a TV that was brand-new and had newer technology.
For the Roku, I mainly got it to avoid having to deal with the manufacturer if there are any issues. It's just easier to go back to Best Buy and swap it out if there is a problem.

I watched this on cable before the Blu-Ray set was available and bought it as soon as it came out. I believe this is by far the best film/TV treatment of War and Peace. The acting is consistently excellent and so are the production values. There were enough battle scenes to make it realistic, but most of the story takes place away from the actual fighting itself.
The actor who plays Pierre is the first actor I have seen who makes the part believable. His naivete is offset by his good heart, so instead of finding him annoying (which can happen even when you're reading the book), he comes across the way Tolstoy probably wanted him to, as a decent person who evolves over time.
The Blu-Ray set has 2 discs, each with 4 episodes. The second disc also has 5 short extras. Image and audio quality are excellent .

Does this come as a pair or is it a single speaker?
They are sold individually, so the cost for a pair is around $500 before sales tax. It's a good question, because the product page shows *two* speakers, and the product name says "2-way surround speaker", but that refers to the number of speakers in each unit, not to the number of units.
