The Shark - AI Robot VACMOP™ PRO RV2001WD, Wi-Fi Connected, Robot Vacuum & Mop with Self-Cleaning Brushroll is an advanced robotic appliance that vacuums the floor simultaneously as it mops. Having just installed new flooring in the basement, I decided to try my first Shark product there.
MY PRIOR ROBOTIC EXPERIENCE:
I own 3) 3-Year old Top-of-the-Line Robotic Vacuums & 2) 3-year old Top-of-the-Line Robotic Vacuums. The robotic vacuums I had were not effective at mopping; they simply moved about the room with a stationary mop pad underneath. The vacuums bumped into things & would often fail to return to their charging base.
SHARK OPERATIONAL OBSERVATIONS & PROCEDURES:
1- Recyclable Packaging is Environmentally Friendly
2- Shark uses first rate materials: For example, ABS is used throughout the Robot; ABS Plastic is virtually indestructible.
3- Extremely Simple Instructions that are easy to follow.
4- Shark solved the perennial problem of making sure the robot can find it's way home to the charging base & make electrical connections. They included a round, black plastic platform that cradles the charging station that provides a smooth path, regardless of carpeting, tile, vinyl, or any type of floor. This is a brilliant solution that eliminates one of the main weaknesses of their largest competitor.
5- The Shark maps your room twice: once to create a drawing that shows walls & obstacles. You then accept it or make changes. It discovered 5 rooms which I consider are actually 2) rooms because of the wall design. Simply name the rooms & click on the common rooms and select "Merge". Now I have 2) rooms mapped out & named.
6- The Shark maps your room again, searching for carpet. It located my only carpet & created a dotted line in that area, so the mop would avoid the carpet.
7- Select ECO, Standard, or High Output on both the vacuum and the mop by the free Phone App. Select standard or high level liquid flow from the mop.
8- To only vacuum & not mop, simply leave the mop attachment off & press clean on the robot or on the Phone App. The robot cleans & returns to the base.
9- To Mop, fill the mop container (very easy to do) with liquid cleaner (included) or water, then snap it onto the robot at the 2) clearly marked places. This takes 2 seconds to fasten it. See a water droplet illuminated in white on top of the Robot that confirms the Mop is properly installed.
10- Press Clean on the Robot or on the Phone App. The Robot waits 30 seconds as it fills the Mop Pad with the precise amount of liquid needed.Then it vacuums & mops simultaneously. When it mops, it sonically moves the Mop Pad, which is analogous to moving your hand on the floor. It is much more effective than simply dragging a stationary mop pad around. The Robot never touches a wall or an obstacle; the built-in laser guided navigation system is amazing & really works.
11- When finished, the Robot returns to it's charging station & recharges.
12- I drove across town & was able to control all aspects of the Robot from the Phone App remotely, just as if I was at home.

SHARK VACMOP EFFECTIVENESS:
My wife arrived home & saw the mopped floor, where she had just decorated a Christmas Tree, leaving glitter everywhere. There was no glitter visible anywhere. The floor had a freshly mopped appearance. The glitter was all in the 1 quart-sized dust bin. This VacMop Pro is amazing!
SUPPORT:
I had one minor issue: from the beginning, no liquid would make it's way from the liquid chamber to the Mop Pad, so the mopping was only dry mopping. I called Shark. They answered quickly & escalated my case to the 3rd level, who promised to call me back within 24 Hours & promised my complete satisfaction.
Before Shark called me back, I fixed it myself. You can see 2) tiny hoses in the bottom of the clear liquid container; they look like they could possibly be clogged by the package being banged around during shipping. So I emptied the cleaning solution & filled the liquid chamber with hot water. I closed the cleaning chamber lid, then shook it vigorously. I poured out the hot water & repeated this procedure 2) more times. I refilled with the cleaning solution, set the MopVac Pro to mop & it completely solved this minor issue. The mop leaves behind just the right amount of liquid that you specify on the Phone App.
CONCLUSION:
I am so impressed by the Shark VacMop Pro, i ordered a second unit today for our upstairs. This is one fantastic performer & earns my Highest Recommendation!

Best Photo Editing Software This Side of Photoshop

I generally upgrade to the latest Adobe Photoshop Elements Software every year, because the improvements are so compelling. Adobe outdid themselves for 2021. It contains a quantum leap of added capabilities, while maintaining the comfortable structure resident in every generation of Elements software.
Tutorials for Quick, Guided & Expert get the assistance you need quickly to perform many tasks. I enjoy the before / after quick look, that lets you see the edited version & compare it with the original.
Red eye removal has never been easier. You can even "open the eyes" of a subject whose eyes are closed on an otherwise excellent photo. You can change the background effortlessly to further enhance your photo.
I bought the full blown, mega-capable Photoshop several years in a row. I took classes on how to use it & bought several books. I had to brush up on how to use it each time. It is such a difficult program to master, and because my photo editing needs are sporadic, I never achieved the comfort level so easily attained with Elements.
Compare that with Photoshop Elements: it is so intuitive, no review or retraining is necessary. This greatly adds to the fun of editing & eliminates the complexity that made editing seem like a chore.

So Grandpa is Cool After All!

I picked up this Hoverboard for my Grandsons. I did not realize how big a hit it would be! The lights are dazzling, the 400 Watt motors are powerful enough to travel at 7 mph. The appearance is a shiny black high quality finish. The wheels are clear, to allow light to pass through.
I had to try it myself. What a sight! A bald man in his mid-60's on a lit-up Hoverboard! It is a blast! Simply lean forward to move ahead, lean backward to reverse & stand straight to stand still. Or that is how it is supposed to work. O.K., I cheated & hung on to the rail beside me as I learned the ropes, LOL!
I really like the fact that Hover-1 is a major brand, with replacement parts & accessories very easy to obtain. I ordered an accessory that is made for this Hover-1. It is a Cart that straps to the Hover board, converting it to a go-cart! Simple velcro straps allow you to use it as a go-cart or a Hoverboard with a quick change. You drive it with 2 sticks, just like a zero turn mower. This arrives tomorrow.
CONCLUSION: This Hoverboard is loads of fun for young and old, from Grandson to Grandpa! With the major brand backing you up, lights galore, 400 Watt Motor & obvious high quality, plus accessories & parts easy to get, this is a great purchase that I highly recommend for years of fun.

Power 2) Tablets Simultaneously On The Road

I had a "Brand-X": 12 Volt to USB Adaptor which charged my iPhone, but did not have enough power to power my iPad in the car. The Belkin - Dual USB-A Car Charger 24W + USB-A to USB-C™ Cable includes 2) USB ports, both capable of 12 Watts output each. This means you can power & charge two of the largest tablets available today (any brand) at the same time!
A well made USB-A to USB-C cable is included to charge or power your phone. It is long enough to be practical in your vehicle, measuring just over 3 feet. I keep this cable for future use, as my iPad & iPhone, as well as my wife's, use Lightning connectors & we already have USB to Lighting Cables.
A power indicator LED just above the 2) USB ports illuminates when power is available.

The Arlo - Essential Spotlight Camera – Indoor/Outdoor Wire-Free 1080p Security Camera offers easy installation with a completely wireless design. No external power required. The included rechargeable battery is estimated to last 6 month between charges! It measures a trim 3.5” x 2” X 3” and only weighs 3/4 lb.
I was thrilled with the sharp, clear 1080P video quality. I view this camera both on my Google Home and my Alexa Show. It even sends alerts to my Apple Watch! This is my only security camera that produces a color image at night. The camera senses motion up to 23 feet. This covers my driveway completely, so I am immediately alerted to visitors on foot or in their car as they enter our yard.
This camera has a built-in spot light, which can be activated by action. It also features 2-way voice between the person watching the phone, Google Home or Alexa Show, and the person being captured by the camera. It actually has a built-in microphone and speaker. The voice is clear, helped by built-in noise cancellation.
An optional solar panel is available to keep the camera battery charged, so you never have to use the included battery charging cable. This is a very smart option, as it makes the camera completely maintenance free.
CONCLUSION: I use several security camera manufacturers’ cameras inside and outside of my house. Most require 120 Volt AC power. I use this camera on the side of the house that has no power available. It is the perfect camera for this application. In fact, this weather resistant camera works so well & lasts so long on it’s battery, that I plan to buy several more Arlo Essential cameras for outside viewing. I highly recommend it.

Reliable WIFI Smart Dimmer with Touch Control

The WEMO WIFI Smart Dimmer is the most reliable & feature rich dimmer I have installed to date. It is easy to recognize: WEMO is the dimmer with the finger slide groove from top to bottom. That matches the WEMO app, so you have seamless operational control, whether at the switch or at the WEMO app.
Both my Alexa (Amazon Echo) devices and my OK Google (Google Home) devices connected instantly with WEMO. Just go to the Alexa app & the Google Home app and set each skill to connect to WEMO. Name the WEMO dimmer in the WEMO app (i.e. Bedroom, Dining Room, etc.). You now have voice control of WEMO!
You can control WEMO directly at the switch, from the WEMO app, by voice with Alexa & Google Home, even with Apple HomeKit, and because it is WIFI, you can control it from anywhere in the world.
A long touch on the dimmer switch will hold the light at the desired level. The WEMO app includes many options, i.e. timers, fade out parameters, Night Mode, etc. Note: the white neutral wire is required for operation. WEMO will replace a single switch only; it is not compatible with a 3-Way switch.
CONCLUSION: WEMO WIFI Smart Dimmer offers the widest range of control options in a very sleek package. WEMO is dependable & works every time. The WEMO app offers incredible options. It is very easy to install & program and is backed by a 3-year Belkin warranty. I highly recommend it; in fact, I just bought 2 more from Best Buy.

Powerhouse Camera in a Slim, Attractive Package

I admit, I was not expecting great things with the CODi HD 1080P WebCam. I had a larger Webcam that sits on my monitor from a company that advertises frequently; I was unfamiliar with this Codi HD Camera. My wife needed a high resolution Webcam for a National Conference that was cancelled & replaced with an In-Home Conference where participation with a HD Webcam was required. I selected it primarily because of it's 1080P specification. I was blown away by the premium quality, high level of detail, super ease of set-up & the slim, attractive package.
This camera is precision built. It sits on top of my wife's 34" 4K Monitor or on a laptop with a foldable bracket.
To set it up, on MacOS, simply plug it into USB. On Windows 10, plug it in, go to the Start Menu. Select Camera, then select this camera if the laptop already has a camera built-in.
The slim camera body is approximately 1/6th the size of the Logitech WebCam on my computer, yet it offers the same 1080P & the photo & video quality are supurb!
Switch selectable between 4:3 Ratio for a conventional photo or 16:9 Ratio for a wide panorama.
CONCLUSION: I highly recommend the CODi HD 1080P WebCam. It offers everything you might want in a WebCam. It exceeds expectations & has earned a permanent place on my wife's 34" 4K Monitor.

Tiny Clock with MEGA Capabilities

The Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is a Smart Clock with integrated Google Assistant. Measuring a tiny 4.5"W X 3"H at the front & it tapers down dramatically in the back. With it's Soft Touch Gray, it blends in & fits in virtually every room. See 6 photos I posted, showing the very attractive shape.
This Smart Clock offers the full power of the Google Assistant by simply saying: "Hey, Google". I use it to set wake-up alarms, turn lights on & off using various Smart Switches & Smart Bulbs throughout the house; it even plays music! I check to make sure I locked the doors & lock any that are unlocked. The small size of this powerful Smart Clock belies it's amazing capabilities.
One of my favorite features is displaying the outdoor temperature below the time. This is the default screen with which this Lenovo ships. I find it so useful, I am keeping that screen unchanged.
CONCLUSION: I have many places for this most useful tool: the Master Bedroom, the 2) Guest Bedrooms, any of 5 Bathrooms, even in my Home Office. There is no other device near this size that performs with the Lenovo Smart Clock Essential. I highly recommend it.

Professional Speakerphone for the Home

The Anker PowerConference Bluetooth Speakerphone is a powerhouse that brings professional level conference calling to the home. Measuring just under 5" square by about 1 1/4" high, it is completely self contained with massive battery power onboard: 6,700mAh to be exact. This battery provides 24 hour call time.
One of my favorite features is that the Anker serves as a battery charger for your cell phone! A portable power pack is one less item I do not need to carry on trips, since it is built-in.
Those familiar with using Amazon Echo & Echo Plus ("Alexa") are familiar with far field sound pick up. This speakerphone embodies the exact technology, including 6 built-in microphones that pick up voices from a moderate sized conference room to a home office. All voices are amplified and processed so they sound the same volume to the listener. My use is 1-2 people in a home office. Voices are picked up clearly and at equal volume, despite varying distance from the speakerphone and sound as clearly as if we are holding a cell phone.
Another feature I like is the Bluetooth connectivity. It simply works with any cell phone.
CONCLUSION: The Anker Bluetooth Speakerphone is a practical addition to the traveler & to a home office. It includes the massive battery to charge cell phones, it connects simply by Bluetooth, and most importantly, it captures clear, equal volume voices. I highly recommend it.

Mouth Watering Entrees at the Touch of a Button

The Crockpot Express Crock 8 QT Multi Cooker w/ Crisping Lid is an All-In-One Kitchen Appliance that really gets it right. I already owned a pressure cooker, 2) Air Fryers, & a Warmer. So I wrestled with acquiring an additional product that seemed on paper to duplicate what I already owned. I am so glad I did not hesitate!
First off, the lid is clearly marked with lock / unlock labels. No fussing, twisting back and forth to place the lid on the cooker. Simply line up the lock or unlock marks and rotate the lid from Unlock to Lock & the opposite to remove it. The lid moves smoothly & precisely every time, locking in place. The performance is worlds apart from my off-brand Air Fryer, on which I have to guess where the lid needs to start, and turn it back-and-forth until it hopefully closes. It never fit well. Crockpot nailed it!
Secondly, this Crockpot has 8 Quart capacity. It is just the right size for a load of ribs (see photo), Chicken breasts, or a tantalizing brisket. Most multi-cookers are a mere 6 quarts or less.
Thirdly, the pot itself is non-stick Teflon coated. Clean-up of sticky, BBQ Ribs & sauce was a simple matter of hot water & soap. Easiest clean-up ever! The aluminum pot offers superior heat dissipation for even cooking. Most Multi-Cookers use a Stainless pot that require scrubbing & dishwasher cleaning.
Next, the outer container that surrounds the pot is even Teflon coated! So any overspill from the pot can easily be wiped clean.
The Crisping Lid is an amazing tool! Simply sit it on top of the Crockpot (it only fits one way). It makes electric contact as you sit it down. Placing the Crisping Lid automatically sets a timer for 15 minutes. It blasts your food with hot convection air. You can add or subtract time, but 15 minutes was perfect for the baby back ribs. The ribs are golden brown from the Crisping Lid & fall off the bone because of the pressure cooker. Immortal entrees!
DISLIKES: The Power Cord is too short. It is only a 2 foot long 18 Ga plug-in cord. Most countertop appliances have a 4 foot to a 6 foot long 18 Ga cord. Thankfully, the cord unplugs from the cooker and a longer replacement cord / plug can be purchased economically virtually anywhere. I replaced the 2 foot cord with a 6 foot 18 Ga cord.
CONCLUSIONS: This Crockpot is a Premium Quality product, indicative of the quality for which Crockpot built an impressive reputation. Sitting next to a lesser Air Fryer or a pressure cooker, the fit and finish of the Crockpot really stands out. I Highly recommend it!

You are exactly correct. 6600 Mbps is a misrepresentation by 3 X 2200 Mbps. I personally saw a max speed of 348Mbps. Please read my review; this router is incompatible with select devices, including BAS Fans & Lights, as well as DropCam Pro (Nest Cam).

what is the difference between the 'narrow' and 'wide' versions of the 90 HDMI adapter?
Use wide to redirect a cable from an LG or SONY TV - note whether the narrow or wide side is in the bend. If you pick narrow in that case, it will direct your cable the wrong way.
I use 2 at a time X 3 cables to redirect cable180 degrees.

will this adapter distort the image or make it weaker ??
There is absolutely no distortion or weakness whatsoever! Audioquest is well known for their premium quality cables & interconnects. I use 2 of these on 3) inputs to my LG 4K OLED with perfect results. Plug 2 in to reverse the cable direction 180 degrees back to the center of the TV. See attached photos.
