The biggest problem with flash drives has been the slowness in transferring data. The new 3.0 products has greatly solved this problem. I was very suprised in the speed that I can now transfer data. I couldn't pass up the price offered for a 32 GB flash drive.

It's a Seagate! What more can one say? The only problem I see with the Seagate hard drives are the sharp corners. They need to change their mold. That is the only reason I gave it a 4 star rating

After installing with the help of the cable company, it works great. The distance for wireless is greater than the one supplied by the cable company. I had difficulty reaching all my rooms with the old one. This is an excellent product.

Do I have to install the Dashboard Installer?
I want to backup a huge file containing a bunch of data from multiple years of a project. All of this data is contained in one file. I only want to backup this file and not any of the other files on my PC. Is it necessary to install the dashboard if I am only using this product as a backup/data storage devise?

Does this unit get its power from a 110 volt wall plug?
Looking for an EHD to use with my Dish Network reciever. They specify it must have an external power source,not USB power. I see contradicting answers.
