Dustin Hoffman and Tom Cruise give the best acting performance of their careers. This best picture winner is a gem. I had not seen it for a long time and it was like a total new experience and perspective watching this film again. Giant is the classic in epic filmmaking with an exceptional cast with the story of triumph from rags to riches to rags with shows money is not the road to happiness but the road to personal ruin in what constitutes love and true loyalty. James Dean is great in this film, it is a shame we could not see what his potential in the future was.
