I tried a dry application plastic screen protector protector on the s8 first but missed the clarity and smoothness of glass. So when it got scuffed enough to replace I switched to this Zagg glass model.
On the plus side it fits fine with an Otterbox Defender case, there is about half a mm of clearance, or more between the plastic frame of the Otterbox and the screen protector, so the case shouldn't pop the screen protector loose. This is achieved by having a decent centering jig in the Zagg packaging to align the cover when installing and the fact that the cover by design only covers approximately half the radius of the curved S8 screen edge.
The down side to this cover is that like most (all?) glass screen protectors for curved edge displays it only has adhesive around the edges. This means you see the edge of glue, like a ring around a suction cup, and that the glass isn't laminated to the display, which drastically reduces clarity. The cover seems more reflective on its surface than the naked screen or a screen with a good plastic protector. Plus there is a ghosting glare effect which I think is caused by the minuscule gap between the screen protector and the phone screen. The result is that the phone screens sharpness and color detail really goes down unless the brightness is turned up.
If Zagg designs a screen protector for the S8 with adhesive across the whole surface to fix the optical problems inherent in this edge adhesive only design, I'd buy it. But as it is now, this protector will be replaced with a plastic one in the near future.

Great phone. Replaced a Motorola G4 plus. There isn't too bad a learning curve with the Samsung TouchWiz (or whatever they call it) interface compared to the relatively clean Android on the Motorola; it is much better than the S4 I had many years ago.
The S8 is a great phone just get a good case for it. Only feature I don't care for is the glass back, I would prefer solid aluminum like the iPhone 6 had, but every flagship phone seems to have them now...

There is nothing wrong with this adapter per se, it simply isn't powerful enough for my application. I needed a new power supply for an external hard drive and the wattage of this (not the voltage) was too low.
I'd still recommend it, just be sure to double check your specs.

One of the best S8 Cases

Otterbox has been a standard in rugged cases for years. This has enough rubber to be grippy and absorb impacts better than many newer "off brand" knock offs. Otterbox is no longer the only quality case on the market but they still make a better product than most of their competitors, and when it's on sale the price is often the same.
This iteration does not have a built in screen protector, and that is probably fine. I am one of the people who removed the screen protector from Otterbox Defender cases because they suck compared to glass or even most plastic stand alone covers.
The case is as thin as it can be and still offer protection. I wouldn't mind if the sides were raised a bit to offer protection for the screen face, but that would limit screen edge functionality.
The holster is not super on this defender case, it seems too easy to for the phone to pop out and I don't trust it. Buy I rarely used the holster anyway.
I paid a little more than twenty bucks for this case which is a great deal. Full retail is too much and I wouldn't pay more than thirty for it.

Doesn’t work with iOS 11

I bought this based on bestbuy.com reviews, not apple.com unfortunately. I bought this to play downloaded Netflix content on a tv and it doesn’t work. Netflix menus, chrome, everything else works fine. But only audio comes through the tv when you try to play something. According to the apple.com reviews this functionality (in Netflix and other apps) broke after the iOS 11 update and hasn’t been fixed. Don’t buy this until there are new reviews saying the bugs are fixed.

Why no screen protector, Otterbox? My Note 3 wants to know.
Probably because of the curved screen. No case with a built-in screen cover seems to work well with curved edge cell phone screens. I bought a plastic (not glass) stick on cover. After installing it and the Defender case I trimmed the edges of the cover with a razor where it touches the case. This has stopped the case from pushing at the edges of the cover and making it lift off.

What is the holster? Does the phone snap into place or does it drop in to a pouch?
The holster is a frame with a rotating belt clip that the Otterbox case snaps into. It works but isn't very secure, it feels like the phone will pop out of the holster if bumped the right way.
The Defender case is great by itself but don't buy the Defender case if you need a holster. Or buy a pouch type holster.
