When my land-line, home system died after many decades, I needed some additional handsets for my (very) old Panasonic cordless phone system. The Associates at Best Buy were very helpful, but we found that handsets were no longer available for my old system. Hence my purchase of the current system with five handsets. It works extremely well, and the base station, which is in our basement, provides a strong signal throughout the first and second floors of our house. The screen is larger than the one on my old system and is correspondingly easier to read. Programming in the phonebook is also quite easy. I thought the Best Buy price was very good. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase.

I have used Apple Extremes for many years. This new one has excellent signal strength and is very easy to set up. WiFi comes into my house through Comcast and first goes to a Comcast Modem/Router for TV and phone. I found that when its router function was enabled, it drastically interfered with the Apple router (sitting nearby), so it is important to remember to switch the Comcast router to bridge mode if you are using a different router system as I am. Works very well with several MACs, iPhones, and iPads. I am sorry to have heard that Apple is apparently getting out of the router business.

Seemed like a good idea, as I have trouble keeping my beard completely symmetrical with a razor. But the shave provided is not very good, and I found it irritating. So i went back to my safety razor, with good blades. I use a transparent gel, which is very comfortable, and do the best I can.

I am a dedicated MAC user, but I found that I needed a PC laptop to put in my radio shack. There are several (well, actually, lots) of programs including those for logging, programming radios, and some for dealing with digital communications, that are only available for PCs. So I did not need a lot of RAM, and I was looking for inexpensive. This laptop met my needs very well indeed. Since I was new to Windows, it did not seem particularly annoying to learn Windows 8. This computer works very well and is as fast as I need it to be. I bought it as open-box special at Best Buy and saved even more money. Not sure that it could be used as a main computer for folks doing memory-intensive tasks, but for me, it was great.

Can't decide which is better Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro or a MAC book.
I was looking into buying a laptop for college. I like the Lenovo Yoga 2 Pro but it only has a processing speed of about 1.8 GHz which I think is because it is a 2 in 1. I'm not really sold on the 2 in 1. I prefer having a separate tablet and a separate laptop. I was also looking at the MAC books but are only i5.
Well, Stephanie, choice of computer is highly personal. I have used MacBook Pro for years and loved it. Operating system far superior to Windows (I also have a Windows machine for special programs). When working at home, I do sometime attach an external, large monitor. I give lots of presentations, and I have to say that Powerpoint for the MAC, with its ability to show the next slide, is just great. I also use an iPad and, like you, I prefer a separate tablet. Good luck in college.
