AWESOME TV - VERY USER FRIENDLY

We had mistakenly bought another brand tv, but quickly went back & exchanged it for this LG tv. We purchased this tv in a 42" about 1 year or so ago & we enjoyed that one so much, but now we wanted a larger screen tv (65 inch), so we decided on the other brand tv, when we got it home, it was terrible especially for a major name brand tv, the picture was milky & fuzzy, needless to say we took it right back to the store & realized that they had our LG in a bigger screen (the 65" tv that we were looking for). Well, needless to say we jumped on it, because it was $700.00 off, plus we knew from our other LG that it HAD to be an AWESOME picture quality like our 42" LG. We had it delivered & plugged it in, WOW and I mean WOW, what an AWESOME TV all round. The picture quality is AWESOME, the setup, was so EASY, there are so many different picture things to get into if you want to FINE TUNE the picture. The sound is GREAT especially for not having any speakers hooked up to it. You can't go wrong with this TV, its CLEAR, CRISP, AWESOME in every way, the BLACKS are DARK BLACK, the WHITES are BRIGHT WHITE, the colors are so VIVID (note: make sure you TURN OFF the energy saving, because that will effect the VIVIDNESS & BRIGHTNESS of your tv if you don't turn it off). We are so glad that we found the LG in the larger screen. The quality & picture quality of this tv is AWESOME and close to the look of the OLED, for less than half the money of the OLED. The price is great too, we bought ours for $943.00 + tax (on sale) marked down from $1700.00. The reason for sale price is the new 2018 TV's are coming in soon. This is a great price for such an AWESOME TV, you won't be sorry. Happy viewing!

We just had our tv installed. It appears dark and not as bright as in the store. The installer adjusted the brightness. ???

There are Many settings, within the settings, so you can play around with many different settings, but to answer your question on BRIGHTNESS vs. DARKNESS, you must first TURN OFF the (Energy Saving) mode, this takes down the brightness to save energy, to get to this (click) on ALL SETTINGS, then on PICTURE, over to the right of PICTURE you will see a list of settings, look for ENERGY SAVING in the list and turn it OFF it is set to ON by default. You also need to go into PICTURE MODE and change from APS (Auto Power Save), to STANDARD or you can use VIVID or the other choices, choose what you like best, Personally I think STANDARD works the best for all coloring & brightness, but its your choice, just don't use the APS (Auto Power Save), which is the default of the tv also, because again it is an energy saving mode. Once you do these two steps, you will be able to set your colors, tint & brightness, sharpeness, etc. to your liking, there are also many, many other picture settings, within each setting, you just have to click on each one to see what it does. Hope this helps.

Does it have the Watch ESPN app?

I don't use the apps but this is what the LG TV shows at the bottom of the screen when you click on the HOME button (MY CHANNELS +), (HH LIVE TV), (NETFLIX), (AMAZON), (MOVIES & TV VUDU), (CHANNEL PLUS), (YOU TUBE), (LG CONTENT STORE), (SEARCH), (WEB BROWSER), (HDMI 2), (HDMI 1), (USER GUIDE), (DEVICE CONNECTOR), (GUIDE), (MUSIC), (PHOTO & VIDEO), (TV SCHEDULER), (SCREEN SHARE), (MULTI-VIEW), (ACCESSIBILITY), (NOTIFICATION), (LG REMOTE SERIVCE). You may be able to find the ESPN app in the LG CONTENT STORE. Hope this helps.

The instructions show both a single center stand and/or two separate feet for stands on my LG 65" TV. It only came with the feet that mount at the ends making it too wide for my table. Where can I get the single stand that mounts on the center of the TV?

We normally place our TV's that we have had in the past, on top of our (fake) fireplace cut-out, so we realized the leg length, would be larger than the top of the fireplace, so we went down to the hardware store and bought a plywood board (29 x 19) and a piece of moulding & had them cut to size, then nailed the moulding onto the edge of the plywood, with some tiny nails, and painted the whole thing to match the color of our fireplace. Then we went to Walmart and had a piece of (black felt), cut to the size of the plywood board (go alittle larger to give yourself some leeway), we brought it home and trimmed it to fit inside of the edges of the moulding & to the length & width of the board, then we spray glued the piece of felt to the plywood board, and placed the board on top of our fireplace and set the TV on top of it & it looks GREAT, (see picture). Another idea is to have a piece of glass cut to the size of the TV length & width and lay it on your table (you want to go a little larger in length & width of the legs). Can also put two small night stands under each leg of the tv, with the space in between them, this will get it up off the floor. Hope this helps if you can't find a center stand.
