Very well written, directed and acted. A fine sword with double edges of excitement and intrigue. This is one of those movies that doesn't let up from start to finish.
I enjoyed Mila and her Mom pose. Some great bits and scenes to laugh at along the way. The empowerment, wonderment and struggles of being an everyday mom is displayed in a fun light. Though the so-called plot to be revolving around a PTA showdown was a bit weak as a center point.
I enjoyed Vol.2 better than the original myself. The inside jokes and gags held up better here. Interesting soundtrack with some classics being played out. Yet some of the song placements didn't seem to fit to me. A fun outing that makes me wanting more for vol.3.
It was a sleeper for me anyway...I fell asleep in the theater when this came out (the wife purchased it). I was originally looking forward to seeing this based on the hit runaway book in which it was based. But the acting and spooks just weren't there. Just plain boring and not fun at all. If your going to watch a classic story that's been twisted around for the horror genre. Avoid this one and see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter instead.
M. Night came back with a decent bang here. James did a great job with all the characters performed here. And yet I was wanting to see even more of his personalities not seen on screen. A fun ending to set up a trilogy.
Not great but I still enjoyed it. Critic reviews were awful when this came out. But I thought part 3 was still the worst in the bunch of the series. An okay outing but they really need to cap it off with something better.
Found in one of the cheap bins. A mild classic by the great/late Jerry Lewis. Facial gags run deep in the story telling. With a small romance hidden in the background of the so called story. Still a fun watch but certainly not perfect.
Purchased this as a cheap holiday buy I hadn't seen before. It's an okay outing for Steven King. Some cruelty and mildly entertaining situations and gags. But doesn't really paint a pretty picture in the eyes of being an all time "classic" in the horror category.
This now 30 year old classic is still a fun watch around the Halloween holiday. An obvious homage to the 1963 Twilight Zone classic "Living Doll" - Talky Tina. A possible corny idea for a full movie actually turns in the goods as something fairly descent here.
Purchased this being a fan of Richard Linklater's ( Before Sunrise trilogy & School of Rock). This film was an unofficial sequel to Dazed and Confused. Moving from the 70's into the 80's. This one may not have the hype and cult following as its predecessor. But deserves to be watched and appreciated. I thought it was quite fun and rewarding.
