I wasn't able to see this in theaters. So this Blu-ray was my first experience with the film. A lot of fun eye candy special effects that go a long way to make it a great film. It was so enthralling that I thought when it was over, only 20 minutes had passed, in the actual 90 minute running time. Nice job!

Like the Downtom Abbey Wines, The show is bold, shows bright character but yet has a dry lasting finish. Great actors and characters that you wouldn't expect from a PBS program. But the lasting impression has been overwhelming and positive. Nice box set for any collector.

Knowing this was to be made in the States a year in advance. I rented the Swedish versions first. Thought it was great, subtitles and all. This version from director David Fincher ( Se7en) was no slouch either. Pulling you in the story quickly with that awesome opening credit sequence. Great cast, with great suspense in tow. A worthwhile remake, even if you've never seen the other one.

Bram Stoker's Dracula was a major hit when released back in the day. Today it feels a bit aged and slow in pace. But the acting and directing are still worthwhile. A nice accomplishment for director Francis Coppola. I purchased this double-bill to get my hands on the Frankenstein entry though. It's been difficult over the years to apprehend a wide-screen version of the film ( past releases of this have only been offered in full-frame only ). Not a major hit but I've always enjoyed it's story and pace of the film. The camera never stops moving but that was to keep you involved through the whole thing.

Not as good as the first time around

I really liked Carla in her first film "Haywire". Which is why I purchased this one. Hoping for more of what she brought to her first film. But this one didn't quite make it for me. She's still fun to watch. But the film just wasn't polished well enough. It lacks good characters and directing. Better luck on her third time around. See this one once but isn't worth multiple viewings.

This horror film is a great one for October or anytime really. Actual fun scares without the blood and guts routine. The so called 'True story" feels believeable enough to be one. Great acting and directing all around and would recommend this film to anyone over the age of 14.

Really fun, remembered music entries. Tom Cruise really ran with his involvement for his part....and I mean that in a good way. Some of the music used was fun and right on the money. Other times, I felt a better song could have sufficed instead. The so-called "plot" was over-used too many times before though in other films.
