This release collect every episode from season two of Better Call Saul, the comedy-drama that follows the evolution of Breaking Bad lawyer Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk), as he tries to jumpstart his flagging career.
Huge Breaking Bad fan. Wasn't sure if spinning off a minor character would stand on it's own - but Vince Gilligan and peter Gould know what they're doing. The writing is wonderful and Bob Odenkirk is fantastic as "Saul" along with a bevy of returning characters from "BB". This show stands on it's own in a big way. Plan to add all the Saul seasons to Bad - for epic entertainment.
This box set features all eight episodes from the sixth and final season of the internationally acclaimed hit drama series about the aristocratic Crawley family and their faithful servants.
I actually bought season 1 of Downton Abbey after it had aired to critical acclaim and won a bunch of Emmys. I missed it all on PBS. Season 2 began to air before I had a chance to watch 1 but I started watching anyway. Never looked back. STILL haven't watched season 1, but I've watched all the rest and bought every season on DVD. This caps off my collection - and maybe now - I can go back and see how it all started. Wonderfully written and acted. A real treat.
Show is excellent. If you're not watching by now - buying the DVDs is a good way to catch up in a hurry. I have seen every episode as broadcast on TV and then bought every season as it came out. #4 was excellent. Add it to your collection.
When aspiring doctor Olivia "Liv" Moore (Rose McIver) is transformed into a zombie, she decides the best way to satisfy her hunger for brains is to seek employment at the local morgue. Little does she know that eating the brains of murder victims not only transfers personality traits to her, but gives her a window into their unsolved demises. Three discs include every episode from season one, with extras like deleted scenes and the cast's 2014 Comic-Con panel.
Very clever series. Zombies with brains so to speak. Zombies eating brains so to speak. Based on DC comix - "Liv" Moore (get it?) works in the M.E.s office - to put her right where she needs to be - eating the brains of dead vics in the morgue - and then "living" their last moments, the better to help her cop partner solve their murders. Clever, funny. A real treat.
This release collects all episodes from the debut season of Billions, The series that explores the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between a savvy U.S. Attorney and a leading hedge-fund manager.
This is a terrific series. Beautifully written and acted. Paul Giamatti and Damien Lewis go toe to toe as U S Attorney vs. hedge fund manager - each willing to bend any rule to end up on top. Even if you don't "get" the numbers they're playing - the drama is palpable. Excellent.
This release contains the complete second season of The Blacklist, the NBC series starring James Spader as a powerful and lethal spy who helps authorities catch other nefarious international criminals.
this series started with a bang - might have meandered a bit - but back on track and action packed. James Spader is terrific as Red Reddington - manipulating the action and playing everyone like living pieces of a giant chess game. Ongoing mystery along with villain of the week keep this show jet=propelled.
Actually bought this as a gift for my kids who loved this movie (and would probably give it FIVE STARS). And for myself to rewatch to see whether I should add that 5th star myself. Original and will prbably win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature.
This release compiles every episode from the second season of AMC's highly-rated zombie series The Walking Dead. The show follows a group of human survivors, led by onetime police officer Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) attempting to outrun the undead.
This series just gets better and better. Filled in some blanks on my DVD seasons - now have 'em all. If you can't stand the suspense of waiting a week at a time - own the season and binge to your heart's delight.
Terrific little thriller that I think slipped through the cracks at the box office. Grabs you from the start. Great performances by Tom Hardy and the late James Gandolfini (in what I think was the last movie he made before he passed away). Gritty gangland stuff. Some quirky, offbeat and still dangerous characters. Liked this one from start to finish.
A team of special agents assigned to investigating scandals and crimes associated with the Navy and Marine Corps get more than they bargained for in the twelfth season of NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service). Led by Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon), the agents often use unorthodox, yet highly effective means to get to the bottom of tricky cases tied to the US military. This multi-disc release collects every episode from season twelve of the series.
