I've played the previous God of War games, but when I picked this up I read it would be a brand new experience. It certainly was.
I've enjoyed the combo-heavy smash-em-up game play that the series used to be known for, but now the slower, more strategic pace gives rise to a more fulfilling game play experience. It feels more like an adventure, driven by story, than just a blood-fest. Been playing it since day one, basically, and taking a step at a time to really enjoy the journey. Loving it so far!

Even if you don't have 4k but own a PS4, this is a must-buy for the collection. I'm sure the DLC stuff will come later, but the base game is worth it on its own.

As someone who is a diehard fan of the original Pokemon games (I only like the basic 150!), this game actually is a great step forward. Simple enough to maintain the formula I know and love, but plenty of upgrades and new touches that make it worth the price of admission. Plus, the graphics and animation over the original Pokemon Ruby game are top-notch.
If you're a day one fan like me, or looking for a gift for someone else, I highly recommend this or Alpha Sapphire; both are excellent games.

Two bad TVs within a year

I purchased this TV in November 2014 for a simple gaming/movie monitor. It was on sale, and at the time it worked wonderfully. I gave it a great review. Then, in August 2015 it inexplicably went out on me. I called Sharp, and they told me to take it to the store for service since it was still under warranty (thank God). I sent it in, and a few weeks later Geek Squad told me I was entitled to a replacement since they were unable to fix it.
Within that time I found another TV for around the same price that was within my budget. Since I needed a replacement right then and had no idea when the Sharp I bought would be back in from service, I went ahead and upgraded.

After that, my original was un-serviceable, so I went to the store and picked out a new Sharp: the same model, same price. I now had two TV's, so I decided to sell the replacement Sharp to a friend who needed one for her grandkids. Well, two weeks later, she tells me that the TV, new in the box, less than a month old, went out on her like my original did. Thankfully, she had the receipt and was able to get a replacement. She wisely chose a different brand and model, and paid a little more for the extended warranty.
People, do not buy this TV. You're gambling with your money if you do. I don't know what the manufacturing problem is, but chances are you're gonna have it too. The customer service associate at Best Buy who performed my refund said that she had seen a lot of these come back for the same reason. With the Christmas holiday coming up, and Superbowl on the way, you can get a great deal on a much better TV. The one I have now, I purchased between the two Sharps, is a 40 inch Toshiba I paid less than $300 for. Loving it so far.
The moral of the story: don't buy this TV, save yourself some time and inconvenience. And if buying a TV means spending money you can do other things with, spring for the extended warranty. You just never know; I could have easily been out a couple hundred bucks if the first one lasted longer than a year.

Echoing what many other reviews have said: I picked this TV up during a sale, and have been very satisfied so far. I use it for games and movies, and it does wonderfully. I don't have/want cable, but it seems like it has all the cool features for that if you want.
I hesitated to give it a full five stars, because I REALLY want a TV with more than two HDMI ports. Pretty much everything uses them, but you can't seem to find a TV under $500 with more than two. It's pretty annoying, but overall a minor concern.
The last time I brought a TV at this price it went out after a year; here's to hoping that isn't the case on this one.

Definitely worth the price of admission

When I went to pick up my pre-order of the game, I found one strategy guide left on the shelf. Knowing my experience with the second game in the series and how often I wished I had a guide for it that I didn't have to scour the internet for, I decided I should pick up this one, especially because my GamersClub membership gave me a discount.
At roughly 500 pages, you get your money's worth. Full-color maps, bestiary, character guide, strategies and tips from the developers, and much more means this is a guide worth every penny.
I don't often use strategy guides, but for monster games like Witcher 3 I'm glad I found one before they sold out. I'll be keeping it close at hand while I play.

Dark, but great series

I had heard of the Witcher series for PC, but never considered getting into it. Then, one day I found the second game in the series for a bargain price on Xbox 360. I decided to give it a try and was impressed. It made me decide I needed to pre-order the third installment, because I knew it would be even better than the other two before it. Plus, I've been following the developer and am very impressed with their capabilities and their methods of doing business and supporting their fans.
Despite some heavy, mature content that it could probably go without (this isn't a game to play around kids), I generally enjoy the series. The writing is top-notch, believable, and occasionally very, very funny. The game play is deep, customizable, and only gets better over time and with every game. While playing Witcher 2, by comparison to other game systems, it took me a LONG time to get a hold of the complex combat and game systems, but once I did I enjoyed the game a whole lot more.
If you're a fan of the series, number three is definitely up your alley. More of what you love (a LOT more. I've seen strategy guides for it reaching 450+ pages), and everything on a bigger scale with the more powerful systems. Be prepared to see friends less and spend plenty of time digging into this one.
Unfortunately, I can't say much for people who are new to the series. From what I've heard the developers want to make it accessible for everyone, but I can't say from experience whether they have or not. My advice: if you like Game of Thrones political-intrigued style of story telling, RPG's, and massive open world exploration, you'll very much like this game. Just be prepared to learn and try something that's new and different from most else out there.

What can I say? For $5 I got a Blu-Ray disc of an amazing movie. I normally don't buy straight Blu-Rays, but I couldn't pass up this one for the price.
Hopefully, by now you've seen any of the Chronicles of Narnia series. As a lifelong fan of the books, I feel that the latest movies did a fantastic job, and I wish they would have kept going instead of rebooting the franchise (again). But this is one of the best movies out there for the whole family. If you manage to see this discounted and have a Blu-Ray player, don't miss out!

If you have an Xbox, you NEED Xbox Live Gold-it's that important to really get the most out of your multiple-hundred dollar system. Free games downloads, access to online play, and more. Normally it's $8 per months, and the year subscription goes for $60. I managed to catch mine for $40, so a little over $3 per month. Like I said: can't beat it. If you ever find these on sale, buy them and tell your friends.

Ahh, Destiny. I've never been a fan of MMO's (massively mulitplayer online games) until this came along. The ones who made it, Bungie, are excellent at what they do, and they've made a shooting/exploration game that is second to none.
A word of caution: if you have an addictive personality, be careful about picking this up! It's very easy to lose hours into it before you know! Because of its structure, there are always events, always things to do, always people to interact with. Aside from the inherent violence that comes with shooting games, its actually very mild on blood and everything else. So far I haven't even heard any swear words, (but that may be a different story when it comes to the competitive, player-versus-player portion, which I haven't touched yet).
Because it's online, it requires a constant internet connection to play, so you may want to make sure yours is stable. Other than that, buy it, play it, and have fun!
I would also say that you owe it to yourself to play this on a newer game system such as Xbox One or PS4, or a high-end PC. I'm sure it'll work just fine on others, but this was meant to be played on a new system. Don't sell yourself short unless you absolutely can't get to it any other way.

I've always been a fan of Kingdom Hearts, and I'm looking forward to the third release. I have to say, KH2 was my favorite release so far. I never really got into the smaller side stories, so having the main KH2 game remastered was a treat in and of itself for me.
It's great that they went above and beyond to include another game, a collection of remastered cut scenes, and even a pretty cool collector's pin if you buy the limited edition release. I managed to catch it on a sale, so the value was even greater.

Does this TV have a Gaming Mode?
It does. I was fiddling with it a little trying to get my Xbox set up perfect for it. Seems like it's one of those TV's set up with gaming in mind.
