Large capacity, many options

Love love love this washer. With no central agitator arm, the capacity increases immensely. I don't have to worry about loading items evenly around the arm to avoid damaging the washer--I can just dump the whole load in.
I haven't had any issues with the auto water levels--in fact, I appreciate that it keeps my water bill down! The washer senses and fills as needed, often not covering the clothes. Strangely enough, this still gets the job done!
I love the many different options for temperature, load size, level of agitation, etc. It means I can really pay a lot of attention to how special loads of laundry get washed.
The cycle for fabric softener is a bit odd. Instead of having a pre-loaded container at the start, you have to choose "Rinse with softener" and they pay attention to the washer to come back and add the softener. This means if you want to use softener, you can't just set it and leave, you've got to be around for the rinse cycle. I don't use softener often, so this isn't an issue for me, but it is a bit strange.

Fast and efficient

This dryer is faster than any dryers I've had previously, with many options for heat levels.
My one complaint is that the steam function leaves clothes very damp. It seems as though the cycle waits until the end to blast the clothes with steam. I'd prefer the items tumble a bit after the steam so items could be ready to wear out of the dryer. However, if you've got the time, a quick cycle on air dry accomplishes the same thing.

does this machine have a bleach and fabric softener dispensers?
Bleach, yes. Softener, no. For softener you have to choose a particular rinse cycle ("Rinse with softener, or 2 Rinses with softener") and the wait around for the rinse cycle to put the softener in.

what is the height with the lid open?
From floor to top of the open lid, I measured 51.5" H.
