Hi,
I don’t know to what extent you are familiar with and/or understand refresh rates. There is a great article on CNET which covers this topic very well. The 75SJ8570 has a native refresh rate of 120Hz (very desirable). It can be adjusted up to 240Hz through the TrueMotion settings. Personally, I generally tend to turn off most of these so-called “enhancement” features on my TV’s.
I find that motion looks perfectly normal on this TV with TrueMotion turned off. Sports events look just fine. The only movie I had motion problems with is “Titanic” with Leonardo DiCaprio. I later found out that it was due to how the movie was originally filmed—too detained to get into here. Anyway, I went into the TrueMotion settings, selected the “user” option, and set “judder” and “motion” both to 3. This immediately took care of the problem. You can also try the “clear” and “smooth” settings—presets by LG.
Again, most of the time, I have True Motion turned off. I detect no significant motion problems on this TV with it disabled. If you have problems, just try the different options there. BTW, the picture quality on this TV from all types of sources (4K and non-4K) is excellent—absolutely stunning in most instances.
I hope this helps.
