So I bought the 9080 towers after hearing the 9060s at the Brentwood Magnolia store. I was not disappointed, paired with rocket 44 audioquest speaker wire I dare you to find a closer actual theater experience. I was back and forth on spending the extra money on the 9080 center vs the 9060. I spent the money, got the 9080, and omg I can't explain how amazing this center channel is. I first used it with two small bookshelf speakers just to see how it would perform in the bass dept. No joke... this one center channel put out more bass than my 10 inch Klipsch reference premier sub. The center channel alone is capable of shaking your entire house with bass that grabs you in the chest. Yet, play something soft like jazz, or some Dean Martin, you can hear the wind whistling through the broccoli stuck in Dino's tooth. I will never buy another brand of speaker. Absolutely spend the money. You will not be disappointed.

Wow...wow...wow, let me start by saying I am a bit of an audio snob. I crave loud, crisp music with clear highs and deep lows. I needed a portable speaker to listen to at work in a shop type atmosphere so I needed something that could crank, but also something small, with a battery that I could take on the go for board game nights, or the impromptu music party. One of my best friends owns the Harmon Kardon Onyx and I was always impressed with sound, but it was to big for my taste. I first purchased the Sony h.ear.go hi res speaker based on the reviews. It was tiny, packed with features, and offered a decent battery life expectancy. In the real world, it sounded nice at very low volumes, but anything over 75 percent it would distort and 100 percent was maybe twice as loud as my iPad pro but with horribly distorted muddy bass. I watched a bunch of reviews to see what would be a good replacement and settled with the JBL Extreme. It was about quadruple the size of the sony, but was so loud and clear and had pretty awesome bass. The major annoyance though was bluetooth drop out. It was terrible. With almost every track change the music would drop out for a second and a few times drop out so long it would disconnect from my iPad all together. I returned it for another one, but made the snap decision on the Braven 2200m even though there wasn't one on display and very little on the Internet about it. But the box seemed promising, and figured a 300 dollar speaker has to at least sound good. The very first song I played was Dire Straight money for nothing. I played at 100 percent volume which absolutely blew me away! I tried several music genres, Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, T Pain's Up Down, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Arstrongs Dream a little Dream and several others. No matter what I threw at, I could not get it to distort. Very impressive. It is every bit twice as loud as the jbl extreme, has amazing stereo separation and bass you could literally feel in your body. If you want a good example of how it sounds but your local store doesn't have one on display, go to home theater and check out the Sonos 3 and Sonos 5, I would put it somewhere between the 2 of them. Better bass response than the 3, not quite as much as the 5 but definitely the clarity of the 5. This thing cranks so loud, if you'd didn't see it right away, you would think your listening to a really large higher end shelf system. Packaging was great, build quality is really impressive, but most importantly the sound is astonishing for such a small package!
