I love my gadgets and gizmos. This is a perfect addition to my collection of really cool things that I never knew I wanted.
I was just shopping for TV's and Laptop's at BestBuy when I saw the display for this product. I asked one f the blue shirts over to explain what this "thing" was. Funny but this kid was just 3 days on the job so he wasn't familiar with the product. We ended up on a quest to understand what it did and how it worked.
Ultimately, we concluded that any modern TV with HDMI and USB ports can "mirror" any device (cell phone, tablet, or computer) that is running Miracast or Windows 10.
My new Laptop has Windows 10 so,,, check.
My tablet came with Miracast so,,, check.
My android phone just needed to download the Miracast app so,,, check.

Back in me iPhone days, I could plug into iTunes and transfer pictures and videos back and forth between my computer and my phone.
Now that I have Android stuff, everything is more complicated. But this gizmo solved that problem with ease. Took a large amount of video and pics off my phone wirelessly. Then all I had to do was plug the USB into my computer.
There are tons of applications for this tech. Love it.

Have not had a,single problem with this item (it's been a little over a month since purchase).
It's fun to use. Excellent at monitoring step, running, sleep, and heart rate. All of which sync directly to S-health which is a fantastic app for tracking your personal health / wellness / and fitness. The reminders are nice. It tells you when you've been inactive for too long. Also tells you when you're close to achieving a fitness goal.
Not very good support from the Gear S app store. Like 80% of the apps are just different styles of watch faces. But there are just barely enough useful apps to make this a worthwhile companion to my wrist.
Hey Gear S app developers..... get to work and give us something to use - other than "cutesy" watch faces.

This convection / microwave was delivered 1 month ago. It is replacing a Samsung Over-The-Range convection / microwave. The Samsung was ridiculously noisy, had a weak vent fan, poor lighting, and very dim display but overall it did work pretty good. After 4 years of service it got donated to Habitat For Humanity (thanks for the tax write off). NOW I have the Electrolux convection / microwave. It was difficult to install. The holes and brackets from my previous microwave aren't in the same location. I understand that these are different brands but I've hung different microwave brands in the same location before and the mounts where pretty universal - not this time. The LED display on this device is just as dim as the one on my previous device. I guess NOBODY can create a display that's easily visible from more than 7 feet away.
Now here's where the Electrolux sets itself apart,,, it looks great, the lights are bright, and the vent fan actually works really well.The interior is all stainless steel with this cool diamond pattern. It looks really nice. When using the convection oven,,, the temperatures are accurate and it bakes to perfection. It is noisy too but nowhere near as screechy and obnoxious as the Samsung. It's just the nature of convection / microwaves to be a little loud. If anyone finds a quite one please let me know. As for the buttons,,, there ARE NO buttons. It's a flat touch panel just like your smart phone. Pushing hard on a number doesn't make it work. You have to gently apply a full fingerprint over the button to get it to work and you cannot be in a hurry. It takes a little getting used to but it's really not that big a deal.
This is an expensive device but it was worth it.

How can I receive Gmail alerts on this device?
It's simple to set up in the Gear S Manager app. If you have Gmail already set up on your Samsung phone it will push those messages to your Gear S while connected by Bluetooth.
