Philips hue White and Color Ambiance A19 Smart LED Light Bulb: Set the mood with lighting that's as smart as you are. This extension bulb works with Zigbee-certified and Wink home automation devices, as well as other hue and Friends of hue devices. Just connect to one of a variety of apps to set timers and alarms and dim the light.
Love the Philips Hue lights and the various apps you can use to control them. Only thing "missing" is better handling of power outages. As a safety precaution, the light switch overrides the hub/app control, which is good. However, this means that all lights will go on when the power comes back after power outages. This just means that you should turn off the lights with the hard switches when leaving home for some days, so it is NOT a dealbreaker, but it would have been ideal if the hub was able to detect a power outage and return the lights to their pre-outage status when power comes back.
This Sony BDPS5500 Blu-ray player's Wi-Fi lets you stream media. To build a complete 3D home theater system, we recommend you purchase a 3D TV, 3D glasses designed for the TV, high-speed HDMI cable and an A/V receiver that is compatible with 3D products.
Needed a media hub to connect to my projector to - connect to online streaming services without the need for a PC or mobile device - mirror my android devices - play content from a USB HDD, and - play HD Bluray discs
The Sony does all of this with expedience and perfect quality!

Lightstrip without hub
Can you use the switch to control the Philips light strip without using or buying the hub?
I don't think so, and in any case you wouldn't be able to control the colors with it.
