The complete fourth season of the present-day adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's imitable Sherlock Holmes crime drama series. Benedict Cumberbatch stars as the titular detective who cracks various crime cases for the Metropolitan Police Service in London alongside his sidekick Doctor John Watson (Martin Freeman). The award-winning adaptation is a collaboration between the BBC and PBS, and the fourth season features guest star Toby Jones as one of Sherlock's many adversaries.
This box set features all 16 episodes from the eighth and final season of the US drama. In this season, Damon is left heartbroken by Elena's absence and begins a killing spree with Enzo.
I've been a huge fan of the Vampire Diaries series and I am sad to see it end. This show being on a nightly network kept you interested with storylines and good acting. Not like the cable network which displays gore and s_x. Many final season series just leave you hanging and disappointed. The storyline for VD Season 8 was just as good as Season 1.
Been a huge fan of the Resident Evil series and I am sad to see it end. The final movie in my opinion was creative. It had a nice twist that I thought worked for the finale. Enjoyed the movie.
The movie starts out slow and doesn't get any better. The plot is like most alien movies. It seems like the writers follow a blueprint for each type of genre and are not allowed to deviate. Nowadays, movie goers seem to follow the popularity of the actors and their abilities to portray characters rather than the storylines. The movie was a big disappointment even with a decent cast.
Loved the sequel. Reeves proves that he is a force to be reckoned with. Gratuitous violence. No cops anywhere as the whole town gets shot up. Reeves applied his craft with incredible effort.
I haven't heard much about this movie. I watched it because of the advertised cast. A mixture of science fiction and action thriller. Costner provides a haunting performance as Jericho Stewart, a brain damaged criminal. Tommy Lee Jones and Gary Oldham meshed well in supporting roles. Was pleasantly surprised and exceeded my expectation.
Lynda Carter stars as Wonder Woman, the Amazonian princess who leaves the all-female island of Themyscira to fight for justice in a man's world. This box set features all 13 episodes from Season 1 of the 1970s action series.
Brought back many memories from the late 1970s. When Lynda Carter appeared as Wonder Woman on network television, it brought out all the hormones from us teenagers. Reminiscing what Wonder Woman was about without the video technology and special effects as in todays cinema.
It has a touch of the Godfather and Scarface but held its own as a decent and enjoyable movie. Too many characters for my taste and it was tough to keep track and what was happening with them. At times, the movie dragged/slowed and got a little boring.
The complete third season of the Showtime fantasy horror series Penny Dreadful, Ethan (Josh Hartnett), Vanessa (Eva Green) and Dr. Frankenstein (Harry Treadaway) as they confront their inner demons as a new darkness arises in London. Included in this release are all nine episodes from the season.
Excellent series with some incredible acting by Eva Green and the rest of the cast. Her character as Vanessa Ives with supernatural gifts are powerful and useful to those around her, but they are also a heavy burden. Her inner demons may be more real than emotional as they threaten to destroy her relationships, her sanity and her very life. A difficult and intense role which she portrayed very well.
Gyllenhaal gives an amazing performance as a lowly working class man driven to make something of himself. Thrilling movie showing the public's appetite for violence drive the media to sensationalize events.
