Marginal Upgrade For Me

I bought this because I got the original PS4 near launch and wanted to have the best console available. I primarily play Call of Duty multiplayer so I use a 4K gaming monitor instead of a laggy TV. Although the gameplay is smoother, I didn't notice a huge leap in graphics visualization. Although in my case because it's a monitor I don't get HDR. I'm sure someone who plays single player games on a 4K TV would see a better result. All in all I got this because I'm a PlayStation fan but was unimpressed at the results.

Doesn't look real fancy but does the job of holding your headset. Not as tall as the Astro A50 headset stand tho. It's light enough to set on top of your console too. You can turn it around and put an iPad on it and stream video while playing games.

Best headset for Call of Duty

I mostly play Call of Duty and wanted to update my Turtle Beach EarForce Delta headset from 2011. I sit rather close to the PS4 and play on a 1 ms gaming monitor for fast response to my movements. I heard that Astro a40 TR was the official headset of Black Ops 3 so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did because the sound is amazing. The best part is that I was able to hook it up to my MacBook Pro and change the equalizer settings and save them to the Mix Amp Pro TR that comes in the box. You can change up to 4 settings on the fly by pressing the equalizer button on the MixAmp Pro TR.
The headset is really comfortable. This fits my head better than the 2nd Gen a50 headset. I wear glasses so this works by not squeezing my ears too tight. Also you can use other headsets with the MixAmp Pro TR. Any Headset that uses a 3.5mm jack will work.
Overall I am happy with my purchase and believe that the price was reasonable compared to other choices available.

Best Chromecast Yet

The only reason I upgraded from the previous Chromecast was because this one is able to support 5 Ghz WiFi. To me, this newer Chromcast is a lot faster than the older one. Maybe because it's a newer model, or maybe because it's using the 5 Ghz WiFi.
I use this primarily to stream Tidal HiFi music to my speaker set up using the Bubble UPNP Android app. Tidal HiFi streams 1411 kbps FLAC files that sound amazing. Chromecast now natively supports FLAC so no transcoding is necessary. I didn't get the audio only Chromcast because I like to display the artist info on my TV while the song is playing. Bubble UPNP does this.
I think this was a worthwhile purchase considering I can now use the 5 Ghz WiFi and be able to listen to FLAC music. I would definitely recommend this product.

Best Laptop I've Ever Owned

This is the first MacBook I've ever purchased and I have to say that it's the best laptop of any kind that I have ever owned.
I always thought Macs were too expensive and total rip offs until I started seeing that all the Windows laptops that I wanted to get were the same price. So I figured if I'm going to spend that much I might as well get a Mac.
I love the new OSX and updated it to El Capitan. The battery life on OSX is amazing. I also installed Windows 10 on it to run Visual Studio 2013. Installing Windows was super easy through the El Capitan boot camp. You don't even need a flash drive. El Capitan will locate the windows file on your computer and install it automatically.
The build quality of this machine is unlike any other I have owned. All real metal and beautiful resolution screen. At first I was skeptical of what looked like a lack of ventilation but under OSX the laptop doesn't even get that hot. The trackpad is a thing of beauty and feels really well built and professional. I was going to get the new Magic Mouse but the trackpad is a better experience as there's no force touch on any magic mouse.
I didn't like that there were no CD drives or ethernet ports. However upon browsing the Apple web site I saw an adapter that goes into one of the thunderbolt ports that will support an ethernet cable. This is great because it doesn't even take up a USB spot. Also, Apple sells an external CD/DVD drive but I haven't had a need for that yet. Especially since El Capitan's new boot camp capabilities.
I really like this computer and would definitely buy another one in the future. The only thing I didn't like was that there was no gold version like the New 12" MacBook. I hope that future MacBook Pro models will come in gold. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase and am a new fan and customer of Apple.
